I have 2 things to say:

1.After going to the UPSC website and clicking on the download e-admit card page, even before typing my id, it is showing : "The Page you are looking is not found".

2.I had made all my notes digitally on my computer in folders for prelims and mains GS. But, by mistakenly one of my friends deleted that entire folder. I had arranged all the important notes and topics in that(including many of your posts). I am thinking of making hard copy notes for mains, but fearing that if that is lost, then all the effort and confidence is lost!
What to do? Is making notes that important? Should I make a very short note only having very important topics of 50-60 pages?

  • Mrunal ♣ मृणाल ♣ મૃણાલ

    1. It was working yesterday. May be heavy Server Rush at the moment. Try again after a few hours.

    2. Read this: http://mrunal-exam.blogspot.in/2012/04/tech-deleted-notes-from-computer-how-to.html

    3. Is making notes that important? Ofcourse important.

    4. Should I make a very short note only having very important topics of 50-60 pages? The length of the note, however, depends on your skill and convenience.

But in the e-admit card issued to the candidat by u.p.s.c it is mentioned that the responses should be mentioned with with black pen.
please clarify whether the responses in answer sheet are marked with pen or pencil.

Firstly, use Safari browser to download the e-admit card – as the Mozilla Firefox/Internet Explorer browser is blocking its downloading due to security reasons. Here is the link to download Safari browser:

    http://www.apple.com/safari/download/

[Just visit the above link; fill your email address & click on 'Download Now' button]

Secondly, whenever you make soft copy of your notes, email them to yourself – as they will remain safe in your Gmail account. And you will be able to download them from there whenever you want.

  • Pradeep

I tried to open the website but the response I got is " The page you are looking is not found ". I guess, server congestion..

  • kalyan's

    it clearly shows tour negligence…

  • sanjeevMISHRA

HI Nikhilesh, am glad that you spotted this. I am also not sure of this, but in the admit card it is clearly written that: Answers other than those made by BLACK BALL POINT PEN would not be evaluated. So, I think it is black pen.
So, it is better if ask this to authentic sources like Mrunal(don't know why he is not replying!) or the instructions must be given clearly on the day of exam.
So, better relax and study(though I went through some anxiety for some days as am a first-timer!).
