hello sir i hv problem regarding my eye sight.my eye vision is -6 in both d eyes.so am i eligible for bank po???????? plz reply as soon as possible

  • Deafness

1)In the rules for hearing ability at point no.10(2)they say that a person having perceptive deafness in both ears is fit for the job only if the defect doesnt exceed 30db.
2)However at the same time the eligibility to avail reservation for handicap in hearing category for IAS is prescribed as having defect in better ear of more then 60db which naturally means that the worst ear is still more defective.

Under such circumstances will it mean that a person with 45db defect is not eligible for selection.

How is that possible because if 45db defect person cant do the job being unfit than how can a handicap of 60db do the same????

    Please guide.

friend..any power doesnt come under disability until u hav 6/6 vision…only if u havnt 6/6 with glasses(not contact lens) then only u can go for vi category u have to consult ur eye specialist he will tell u the extent or degree of disability ..generally 40 to 74 percent disability is acceptable under law..thank you

      • Nilendra Bardiar

Who is this shit who is writing lol here for someone’s suffering. I pray to Lord you never succeed in life to become an officer. With this attitude you make fun of people’s suffering instead of trying to provide them relief and every penny spent on your salary and perks will be like casting pearls before swine.

  • Abhinav Kumar

    Sir,
The information u share on d net through this blog is worth appreciating. Sir i want to know that i am a hypertensive & my blood pressure is seldom above 150 so i regularly take medications for controlling my b.p. As per appendix III , the requirement in upsc is below 140. So, sir it would be really kind of you if you can tell weather i am eligible for the appointment or not.
Recently we heard of some suggestions given by the director genral of health dept. in relation to the hypertensive & diabetic students. Sir, please update us weather those suggestions have been implemented or not.
Your respose would be highly obligatory.
P.S. I dont have any end organ damage & being a medical student i am taking care regularly.

  • sandeep

Sir is a person wid lasik laser eligible for ips?

  • Siddhartha Shakya

    M. Srinivasu cleared the civil services examination in 2008 and was subsequently recommended by the
UPSC for appointment. But he was declared medically unfit by a medical board at the Safdarjung hospital on account of being diabetic.Srinivasu appealed against the decision and was subsequently referred to the Ram Manohar Lohia hospital for another examination. But there too he courted disappointment. After that also diabetic candidates have been declared unfit on this account.
Sir, are these medical norms changed subsequently by UPSC? If so, when & what are the new changes on this part?
Please reply sir I am very much tensed because of the above news as I am also diabetic; and seriously writing the Civil Services Exam this year. Please reply sir! It would be a great help to me and boost my morale.
