    Hi!
For RBI assistant interview questions, brush up financial terms, like financial inclusion, debit cards, credit cards, and in the RBI website download the 2 pdf’s in About Us section.. just read 4-5 lines for each topic.. they are all about RBI and what it does.. they are 160 pages in number
and in the end if left with more time, go thru last 6 months financial gk from magazines

  3. B.R KUSHAL

plz post regarding job profile, career growth, promotion, work pressure of rbi grade b officer………….

  4. Shruti

Regular reading of banking related magazines is more than enough. Preparation should be on the lines of Bank PO only. Nothing more is required.

Before the exams a comprehensive 6 month financial gk reading should suffice..

Cutoff are on the higher side, somewhere around 155 >
So one should brace oneselves for solving around 170 – 180.

ANy average candidate can easily attempt 170 question in 2 hrs.. Hope it helps.

PS: Bogus books are not recommended.. My pick:- BSC magazine and Banking and You… CSR for the more motivated people.

    Thanks
    Cleared the assistant written 2013.

  10. Anoop

    Hello Mrunal,
I am currently working in a software company as programmer and getting a pay around 26K/Month.
I am looking out for govt. job for one reason Job Security and stability in working hours as i want to spend some time elsewhere which is not possible with my current job.
I am opting for SBI PO or RBI Assistant.
But i am quite confused if they are good enough to pay me well hence a good quality life.
(This sounds stupid to leave a good paying job in private sector but i wish to have a consistent source of salary throughout of my life.)
Can you informally clear the clouds of doubt?
Which one should i go for?
Is SBI PO job (in Mumbai) better than RBI Assistant?
Is SBI PO better paying than my job?
    Please help and do replay,

    Regards
    Anoop

Same condition here anoop…@MRUNAL SIR please reply ….lots of similar aspirants need your valuable guidance. You are really doing a great job..

    2. asa

SBI PO ctc is around 8.5 lakhs per annum in metros compared to RBI’s 2.8.

Go for SBI PO. Better prospects. Very less vacancies in RBI this year. So better skip this exam out and prepare for SBI or IBPS PO.

    Hello Sir,
I am currently pursuing a masters degree in Economics. I am looking at government jobs because of the prestige and the security attached. That was one of the reasons I filled up the RBI Assistant form. However some searching on the internet made me realize that its basically clerical in nature and moreover the pay per annum comes to just about 3 lakhs. I w3ant to know what are the future prospects of this job , how many promotions can I expect in the long run. If I do get through and accept this job is there any chance of reaching an officer status in say 3-4 years ?
    Please help.
