Q. In CAPF-2012 Exam, Which essay did you write in and what keypoints did you include in it?

I wrote “Emergence of regional parties and its effect on the federal structure of India ”. As I said I  was intrested in political issues, l had sufficient knowledge  and fodder material for this topic. Keypoints I included in my answer includes -reasons for the emergence of regional parties, chrological order of emergence of some important regional parties, their effect on national parties from Nehruvian era to Sonia- manmohan  era, pros and cons of their emergence ,added relevant current issues .

Q. In CAPF-2012, they asked counter-arguments for following, in 75 words. Please provide your answer.

argumentyour counter argument
(i) FDI in retail in India is a bane for a small trader. Small trader fear that they may not be able to compete with world class large companies and may ultimately be edged out of business. This argument is not true .In short term he is bound to have effect because of inefficiency  and small size. But in the long term country benefits from    improved  forex  position of the country, employment generation and increase in production, help in capital formation by bringing fresh capital, helps in transfer of new technologies, management skills,.  increases competition within the local market and this brings higher efficiencies ultimately helping small trader.
(ii)  Control of social media is an anti-democratic proposition.Though social media is the product of democracy .Lack of control of social media leads to chaos and anarchy. British-American entrepreneur and author  Andrew keen criticizes social media in his  writing, “Out of this anarchy, it suddenly became clear that what was governing the infinite monkeys now inputting away on the Internet was the law of digital Darwinism, the survival of the loudest and most opinionated”.
