** English Language paper is of qualifying nature, hence the mark obtained in English Language is not considered for overall total weighted score. CAPF-2012 related RTI
As you’re aware, government launched a website http://rtionline.gov.in/ to make online RTI applications. So, I had filled this RTI myself, just out of curiosity to ‘test’ whether that website works or not. (and yes it works fine. By the way if you get ‘payment error‘ message after paying the fees via netbanking on that website, don’t worry, your R.T.I will be still registered.)

Since I wanted to get maximum value out of my 10 rupees, application fees, I also asked a few additional questions in the R.T.I, as following:
Q. What was the Highest marks scored in Paper I, II and in final list by each category?
Lord Curzon: Such information is neither compiled nor maintained by the commission and hence cannot be provided.
Mrunal: then how do you make the merit list, if you don’t know the highest marks? You’re indeed totally awesome.
Side note to readers: From Navdeep Singh Suhag (Rank 4)’s interview, we know that he scored
Paper1: 159
Paper2: 79
Written total: 238
Interview:117
Final score:355
That means, first ranker’s final score was atleast higher than 355.
Anyways, back to our R.T.I questions:
Q. How many female candidates applied in CAPF (AC) 2012 and How many of them are selected in the final merit list of CAPF (AC) 2012?
Lord Curzon: Commission doesn’t maintain male female category wise number of application. (However) the number of female candidates who have finally qualified in the CAPF(AC)2012 is 10.
Q.How many candidates from each category applied in the CAPF(AC) 2013 Exam?
Lord Curzon: The CAPF(AC) exam 2013 will be held on 20.10.2013 and no data on applied candidates category wise has been compiled yet and as such the same cannot be provided.
Mrunal: But last date to apply is already over, meaning you’ve the data and this is a simple task of excel juggling.

Hahahh……agree wid Mrunal. I too filed APFC RTI query to check if new RTI portal really works.
By the way, it gives payment error everytime, and after 1-2 days u receive SMS & Mail that RTI has been filed. (Plz dont abuse engineers who designed this portal. This is a deliberate attempt. If govt dept wil start working in one go, we ourselves wil feel uncomfortable)
I too filled 3 RTI applications from the newly launched RTI portal.
i already got reply to the first RTI application and my 2nd and 3rd are in pending status.
till now i didn’t face any problems while payment and also i use to get instant sms after filling the application
ok, i filed 2 RTIs, faced payment problem everytime. Anyways if it has been rectified, gud luck of all of us.

Is there any way to find out your written paper & interview marks in APFC examination?
yes Amit (and others), You can find your written+interview marks in APFC, just File R.T.I to UPSC stating your roll number.

Hi mrunal inspite of final declaration of result around 2 months back UPSC’ve still not published mark status of APFC EPFO. any idea how much more time it’ll take or only RTI is the way to know mark.
In CAPF,cut off for paper one was 97….?Is it a rule that paper 2 will be evaluated once you clear the cut off in paper1…Please answer this…
that is correct Abhishek. As per UPSC notification for CAPF 2013:
There will be minimum qualifying marks separately in each Paper as may be fixed by the Commission in their discretion. Paper-I will be evaluated first and evaluation of Paper-II will be done only of those candidates who obtain the minimum qualifying marks in Paper-I
yes, UPSC mention it every year in the notification.

total galat hai RBI main….for general it comrs out to be 91
sectional cutoffs and overall cutoffs are separate units.
overall cutoffs doesn’t mean sum of all sectional cutoffs.
if you calculate for OBC, SC, ST, PH (Sum of sectional cutoffs)= 80, 74, 74, 74
But their overall cutoffs are (113, 106, 96, 96) respectively.
APFC me kya second selection list nikal sakti hai agar kisi ne general category me join nahi kiya ho to ?
One thing should be observed friends , there is an approximate 45% cut off in each Section.

Is there any possibility that UPSC will issue a second selection list for APFC/EPFO in case some selected candidates don’t join the service ? Does UPSC issues second selection list for CSE ? This is usual in case of banking exams .
