  1. could anyone please tell that….26 jan ko President salami lete hai and 15 aug ko PM aisa kyun??

    1. bcoz 26 jan ko india republic(head of state elected by people; Prez though indirectly elected) bana aur 15 aug ko azaad(govt by the people “PM”) hua tha.

    2. I think the events might have unfolded as below-
Constitution work was completed on 26th Nov 1949, which gave ‘head of the state’ status to the President and also the ‘1st citizen’, hence to commemorate the 25th Jan 1930 event, republic day was chosen on 26th Jan and Prez was made the principal dignitary.

    3. The president is the head of the republic, so obviously he becomes entitled to receive the guard of honour on 26th Jan

Forex reserves are Foreign Exchange Reserves very much essential to boost the trade between countries. As the present scenario we have so much dependence on american currency , whatever we do in imports from other countries , $ plays a vital role in trade and commerce , the more accepted form of currency world level. so we need to reserve it more synonymous to our saving for domestic needs. so government takes more initiatives to reserve foreign currencies of various countries to make active our business in various diaspora. we have this Pravasi Bharatiya Divas every january 9th to mark the contribution Indians past and Future in economic devpt. too
