What’s the difference in IPS officer vs State Service police officers such as Dy.SP?
IPS officers are recruited via UPSC’s civil service exam while Dy.SP are State service police officers, recruited via State Public service Commission.
As a State service Dy.SP, You’ll have limited chances of moving up in the police hierarchy.
