- My next prelims course (PCB12) will be starting from 15th August.
- So it is possible that many learners may be watching some recorded classes during June July, and asking questions in their doubt form.
- Now, in each such old course pages, if I continue uploading the PDF files of doubt replies → it will make those course pages update-sections very clutter and confusing
- (kyoki usmein serious handouts bhi downloaded hai and then woh dabb jaayenge in the bottom & you will have to scroll 15 km to download every handout- IF i upload doubt reply PDF there every week!)
- and therefore I am forking out all doubt-reply into this single landing page. mrunal.org/doubt
- aap mere ko jo bhi puchhaa via google form in unacademy paid courses, its the answer is here.
- Usually update this page on Wednesday night.
- scrolldown or search for your username.
- if text table not fully visible in mobile due to long horizonal width, then open in the desktop browser.

| D2723 – anirudh | Sir, I am preparing for 2025. I started around last year but I have still not completed any subject with confidence. Moreover, from last year I have not been able to select my optional subject. My background is computer engineering so I am particular not interested in any of the optional subjects as per my background. Sir I am also a working professional and I want an optional that can be finished quickly. I heard maths optional which can somewhat relate to engineering is very lengthy. Sir please help me. | At least shortlist 2-3 optional subjects and then come back with this question again.

| D2724 – Ujjwal Singh | Good Evening sir, Following up on the old question “Sir, I am A PhD Student @ IIT Roorkee and preparing for UPSE since last year, due to a tight schedule, I am not able to study in live classes. I have been studying your course for the last 15 days and try to study 1 lecture each day. Please give me some guidance so I can positively put my efforts, I need some bits of advice regarding this and looking for good advice. and I also want to thank you for making economics easier for a student like me who has no strong base in such subjects.”Sir, I am doing 2 subjects at a time one in the morning “Economics” and one in the evening “IR”. Sir, May I continue this schedule or do I need to change it? |
I think you had asked this in the past, and I had replied this.
Rule of thumb: 1) if you can complete a topic by reading it for 20 minutes, then you should not watch the video for 40 minutes. 2) normally person should not watch more than five hour of lecture per day. Rest of the time should be utilised for Reading / self-studying. Make sure you are completing major landmarks such as if not, then u may have to shift some of the topics to post-prelims in june month e.g. world history, post-indpenedent india etc. 3) if you have paid subscription of the optional subject, then better to use its validity/duration to complete optional first, because the other things (e.g. science) are still manageable somewhat via self reading |
| D2725 – Mihanshu Pandey | Sir my friend is preparing for CDS but he is unable to find an good book for PYQs like yours for CSE could you please suggest any similar book for CDS. | arihant publication has it. title pathfinder or something. |
| D2726 – Annu jangid | Mera 1st attempt 2025 m h toh central caste certificate kb banwana chahiye?? | calculate as per this video https://youtu.be/IhWwv01yKDE?si=UEjEOfHv29drtJRC |
| D2727 – SYED ABEED | SIR my doubt is regarding” input tax credit ” 1)SIr why do government even need to give input tax credit , As the person just paying gst for the raw material he/she used. 2)from the given example in lecture( i.e a coaching center )- *They used input for business -they paid gst . *They gave service to the student- they will recieve gst from them which eventually will be submitted to gov. (so sir if the gov starts giving tax credit to gst at input ,to avoid cascading effect. isnt this looks like tax exemption on input or raw material) |
ITC promotes self-policing via every suppliers insisting on the invoices = reduced scope for blackmoney and reduces cascading effect = reduced burden on final customer. If Govt directly give subsidy, it’ll not help filling these objectives as impactfully. |
| D2728 – Roshani | Sir, I have completed pg, now can I take admission in B. ED.? Or not | this q is outside my area of expertise. kindly consult google /other experts. |

Your first priority should be to complete the subjects such as economy, polity, history, geography, environment and science. 2. All the good teachers already incorporate large amount of current affairs inside their course it self for example my economy course. 3. So beyond that, very fractional amount of current affairs need to be prepared by yourself. and even that is covered free of cost through special classes e.g. my win24 series next year for economy. 4. Additionally, you can take help of the monthly current affairs magazines such as this https://unacademy.com/content/upsc/downloads/for completing the current affairs of earlier months.ideally for pre-2024, u should read from 1/1/2022 onwards ke magazines (=two calendar years).5. there is no need to make a Notes out of current affairs as such because most of the free monthly magazines will be covering it. However, if you find some unique information relevant for your optional-subject, interview questions related to your graduation or your domicile state or Ethics or Essay then you should note it down from newspaper. otherwise no need to note it down. 6. You should also keep habit of reading the newspaper columns for at least four months to cultivate vocabulary e.g. |

| D2744 – Kashish Shah | I have completed my graduation in Psychology & it is my optional as well. I have covered my optional in 2021 from Unacademy from Devshree Singh. Currently, Devshree Singh is no longer associated with Unacademy, but I am watching her recorded lectures. However, the technical team is deleting her old videos. I have bought the optional subscription to watch her lectures. I request you, please don’t delete her old courses.
At the same time, I am also confused whether I should go ahead with Psychology or switch to Anthropology because it is scoring & UPSC rankers have that optional who belong to Top 10 + Himabindu Ma’am teaches the course in structured manner, giving daily answer writing questions, discussing 500 PYQ’s also. I am confused. I request you to guide me. |
As per the legal agreements with the educators, when they leave the company, we are required to delete their courses from server, after certain years.
(2) since your graduation is also Psychology and you have studied a lot, so I would not suggest you to change the subject, just for the lack of teacher. Otherwise, you will have to start from scratch with the new subject, that is not an efficient use of your time and mental resources. |

| D2765 – Sandeep kumar | Sir mera bpsc ka exam h 30 sep ko 2025 may upsc dena h Avi meri preparation bpsc oriented h How to balance both??? |
if this is your first attempt, then better to systematically complete the coaching for UPSC first, otherwise, trying to juggling multiple exams, you will not be able to perform well in any of them because randomly you will have to take break from upsc lectures to prepare for those random things for other exam in an incoherent manner. Then you are not find success nor even able to recover the money, you have spent on the UPSC coaching fees
|
| D2766 – Tejas Gholve | Jo main 5 subject bataye mrunal sir ne .. Unke liye unacademy ke notes padhe sirf… alongwith newspaper and IYB …. Is it helps to reach upto cutoff…? |

| D2767 – Komal patel | chemistry is my subject in graduation and i wark upone it .so can i take chemistry as optional. Sir it is scoring subject or not . I am not doing masterse in chemistry . |
Statistical interpretation about the success rate of individual optional Subject = it is a propaganda spread by the coaching classes to sell their courses for the given subject.
There are good number of Toppers from optional also, so if this is your graduation subject, and you are interested to take it, there is no harm in it. |
| D2768 – Vaishnavi singh | 1- sir should we make notes for gs like basic ncert notes or suggest any alternative like mindmaps are enough or not , 2- what about managing other exam with upsc like statepcs with upsc ,as you informed regarding CSAT 3-how should we measure our level of preparation ,are pyqs enough ? | Q1a) About notes making for subjects Except Economy watch timestamp 2hr:02 minutes onwards https://unacademy.com/class/upsc-planner-2023-prelims-mains-syllabus-book-list-current-affairs-time-management/Z7YROMALQ1b) About Notes making for Economy:My economy handout is the revision note in itself. If you try to make new note out of it, you will become tired and run out of time, because then you will be left with less time to complete other subjects. So ideally if at all you want to make notesthen you should give first priority to make notes for optional subject and not for general studies subject. Having said that, I am not be preventing you from making notes on economy, but you need to consider the availability of time. 2) if this is your first attempt, then better to systematically complete the coaching and syllabus for UPSC first if u fail then from attempt#2, start giving plan-B exams. , otherwise, trying to juggling multiple exams within first attempt = you will not be able to perform well in any of them because randomly you will have to take break from upsc lectures/mocks to prepare for those random GK for other exam in an incoherent manner. Then you are not find success nor even able to recover the money, you have spent on the UPSC coaching fees. 3) after completing a topic go thru its tpicwise PYQs. 1) Download the it https://unacademy.com/content/upsc/downloads/ NOTE: sometimes requires clicking individual magazine 2-3 times like 🛵 bajaj scooter after logging in |
| D2769 – Shobitsingh-672 | Sir can we skip monthly magazines and make running notes of daily current affair class ? How to give multiple revisions to subject we have covered once? What can be the best schedule for such revisions? |
1) You’ll get exhausted both physically and mentally, if u start doing self notes making of daily current affairs.
Only 10% paper is from last 1 year current – if we take average of 2018-2024 papers. So the return on investment is not good. if you want to make notes, then first make it for the optional subject. 2) first priority should be to complete all the subjects by dec’24/feb’25.. focus on revision from February to May month. |
| D2770 – Abhay Singh | I have completed yours plus eco course PCB batch 11 so, i wanted to ask you that the old hand out will work or should i rejoin the latest batch . also I gave this year prelims attempt but i failed to clear the CSAT, so should i again the join the new batches or go for self prepration along with my job. |
1) PCB11+ Mains-QEP4 or 5 + win25.
2) if UPSC continues with the same difficulty level of 2024, then you can manage through revision/self-study without having to go through the entire course, one more time |

1) how to select optional subject, what is the 2) difference in comprehensive and foundation course and I am also preparing for other exams 3) so which subject i should finish first. |

How to shortlist optional subject given at timestamp 02 hours 07 minute onwards In this lecture https://unacademy.com/course/planner-for-2023-prelims-and-mains-136/DRN0ZLHX 2) i think foundation = mostly targetting 2026 ki audience with 1000+ hrs lectures. 3) core static subject like geography economy history polity. + maths/reasoning. |
| D2775 – unacademy-user-IQTSTVMYQ8MN | Which is the best approach to select the optional subject ? | At least shortlist 2-3 optional subjects and then come back with this question again.

| D2777 – Goswami Amit Bharti | sir, I have enrolled for Manzil batch along with the Anthropology optional. Currently I am taking some classes which is getting overlap with optional classes. Please reschedule the Optional timing so I can properly focus and take the GS classes. It is not just my problem, all the students who have enrolled and opted for the anthropology are facing this similar issue. Kindly do the needful action over this concern. watching recorded class of any subject is not what I am aiming here. | will forward ur request but Considering the online nature of batches, it is inevitable that there will be some overlap.
in such case, I would suggest you to watch the option classes in live manner in this case. |

| D2779 – AVIJIT GUPTA | Good evening sir. Pcb10, Pillar 1d, page 278, topic -> subsidy from central govt in EPFO contribution, EPF scheme entitlement – It says – if the farm has up to 1000 employees But, Pcb11, Pillar 6d, page 1218, topic -> PM GARIB KALYAN, (table) social security -> it says if worker earning < ₹15,000 per month in a firm with <100 workers -> govt will pay 24% of his monthly wages into his EPFO account.Doubt – shouldn’t it be 1000 workers as mentioned in pillar 1d, or should it be 100 workers as mentioned in pillar 6d? |
thank u for ur msg.
will check and issue correction. in the meantime, assume pillar1D details related to EPFO to be more accurate/comprehensive than the brief mention of it given in pillar6. |
| D2780 – Soumen Manna | Sir, I am spending huge time to go through “THE HINDU” Newspaper completely. Could you please help me to understand which pages/information/topics are required for the preparation so that I can only read those pages daily basis to avoid reading the unnecessary contents. | D2781 – 33JGEAAY9OAA | Sir,
I am currently pursuing a PhD in Cancer Biology. For a long time, I have wanted to prepare for the UPSC exam, especially the Forest Services, but I lacked proper guidance, the right time to start my preparation, and the affordability to join any coaching. So, I followed my academic journey, qualified for the CSIR-NET JRF, and now I am doing my PhD. However, deep down, I don’t want to make my career in this field. I want to become a civil servant. I started my preparation with YouTube lectures from Siddharth Arora Sir and Sudarshan Gujjar Sir in December 2023. Recently, I subscribed to the Unacademy Plus course and joined the Manzil batch to prepare in a structured way. I enrolled in the batch using my stipend money after careful consideration. I can manage about 4-5 hours of study daily for five days a week and about 10 hours on weekends. Is that enough? Is my decision the right one to prepare for this exam? I consider my PhD as plan B, which would help me get a job in the biotech industry or, if luck favors, become an assistant professor. |
Yes, that is good enough. All that is required from your side is discipline to finish the courses/mocks in timebound manner without backlogs. |

1) by 2026 / 2027, many existing economy topics may become redudants, many fresh things may get added, there may be changes in exam-trend/level of difficulty and variety in questions, so while I’m not preventing u from sitting in the existing course, but if you’ve of UPSC-2027 then sit in 2026-Sept or afterwards. if you’ve target of UPSC-2026 then sit in 2025-Sept or afterwards but if your subscription is expiring sooner than that, then come and sit in this 15th Aug course.secondly, person targetting 2026-27 shd utilize college time for 1) Getting some extra-curricular activities certificate for the interview biodata. 2) getting minimum first class in college exams because many of the plan-B exams like RBI Grade-B/UGCNET etc may require minium 55-60% (in general category). Try getting minimum first class in college exams because many of the plan-B exams like RBI Grade-B/UGCNET etc may require minium 55-60% (in general category). |

1) topicwise PYQs dekho of both subjects. Accordingly, update your notes, if any topics are missing. here are url for 📕 Mains PYQ Topicwise (English hindi combined in single PDF) https://static.uacdn.net/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2024/06/21194726/Mains-Topicwise-PYQs-Booklet_Unacademy-v4-2.pdf📕Prelims PYQ Topicwise (English)https://static.uacdn.net/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2024/06/26200631/PYQ-v16-English-updated-June-2024.pdf📕Prelims PYQ Topicwise (Hindi)https://static.uacdn.net/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2024/06/27110811/PYQs-Hindi-v13.pdf 2) Rule of thumb: 1) if you can complete a topic by reading it for 20 minutes, then you should not watch the video for 40 minutes. Teacher may be offering the Video explanation for 40 minutes because he has to explain it to the weakest student of the class. If you’re not the weakest student, then you don’t have to go with it. 3) if you have paid subscription of the optional subject, then better to use its validity/duration to complete optional first, because the other things (e.g. science) are still manageable somewhat via self reading and free classes and Utube |

From what I have heard from some of my old students who joined their it is a post bigger than head constable but smaller than sub inspector. Which of the following are included in the definition of Narrow Money? 1. Currency with the public 2. Demand deposits 3. ‘Other’ deposits with Reserve Bank of India 4. Banker’s deposits with Reserve Bank of India Select the correct answer using the code given below: (a) 1, 2 and 4 (b) 1 and 2 only (c) 1, 2 and 3 (d) 3 and 4 only In class discussion our ans is 1 and 2 only..but in official answer of cds it is mentioned 1,2 and 3..please guide me on this question.thank you. |
🙋🏼♀️ Error/FAQ/Economy: your Pillar1A2 handout’s formulas for M1 / Narrow money is not matching with RBI website / random google websites.
Ans. The Formulas for M1-M4, Broad/Narrow money in my handout are based on page 38-39 of NCERT Textbook Ref: https://ncert.nic.in/ncerts/l/leec103.pdf Abhi usmein RBI ke real-life formule ki PHD will make the things overcomplicated without any incremental benefit in the exam. If NCERT M1-M4 formulas do not match with RBI website or XYZ website or book or mocktest, then there is nothing to worry. Because even if UPSC ask a question, you can file complain after the exam is over that options are debatable or wrong, and then UPSC will cancel it- Just like they have done with other debatable questions in recent past. Counter-argument: UPSC CDS exam had chosen different answer in the official answerkey. My reply: that’s bcoz candidates didn’t raise complaint within 7 days after exam, UPSC question-paper complaint portal at http://upsconline.nic.in/miscellaneous/QPRep/ |

| D2846 – Navneet Jain | Sir, I have attended your PCB6 Economy lectures during college days. I have read your handouts and taken weekly tests. Now i have full fledged started preparing for UPSC. I have joined Manzil Batch and I am targeting for 2025 exam. Do i need to attend your lectures starting from 15th August 2024. (PCB 11) | PCB6 ke baad much water has flown under the bridge in terms of the exam difficulty, so I had to update a lot of things particularly related to Sharemarket and government schemes.
So even if you’re not attending the video lectures again, at least download the latest hangouts and read them, and where you find difficulty watch lecture. secondly do attend the mains economy QEP5 (starting from 3rd oct)- LIVE mode. |
| D2847 – Neha bidhuri | good evening sir , I wanted to ask about recordings that as my subscription will end in oct do I still have access to the classes I have already done. so I can take them again or not. | What is the subscription is over then Video access will be stopped. but u can download the handouts and revise from it. |

Almost everyone is in the same boat because everyone expected that prelims 2024 paper will be very tough. Just like 2023, so they were focusing more on it.
need not take stress.Go through the mains papers peacefully again, in topic wise manner. https://static.uacdn.net/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2024/06/21194726/Mains-Topicwise-PYQs-Booklet_Unacademy-v4-2.pdf you will realise that 60-80% of the GS paper is repeatative recycled points. And even economy, many of the questions can be managed by recycling the things you have learnt from prelims course. finish my ongoing QEP4-economy then u’ll realise this. https://unacademy.com/course/mrunals-economy-for-upsc-mains-2024-qep4-economy/8BGHDWZJ so in a systamic manner finish them core topics, with 5-7 writable points for each. and even with 100% syllabus completiton, lot depends on what gets asked on exam day. roadmap given here https://youtu.be/DRorb5TquXA?si=cJNxKdUUMiCOgr3i Those who’ve cleared the Mains are not super intelligent people. pretty much everyone simply mugging up some PDF files. so don’t doubt yourself. it’s everyone’s game. koi bhi topper bnn saktaa hai. best wishes |
| D2849 – anu sharma | Hello sir, I’ve just completed my graduation and this year 2024 was my first attempt, i believe I was unsuccessful because I relied too much on last three years cutoff and thought 60 questions was enough and I didn’t do too much risk taking, also due to lack of experience I can say and getting emotional in some questions I made silly mistakes. Calculating from our key I got 88 marks. Sir my doubt is I’ve been a free learner of unacademy since my 2nd year and I’ve read the course for all subjects, focused on all classes on both platform and YouTube. But i was able to get to only the margin situation in cutoff. Sir you tell many a times in your videos that some aspirants score so high ~130 in gs but fail in csat. Sir how do I also can score higher in my next prelims in GS, I do not wish to be in the same situation of margin pass or fail. What all steps I must take and what points can help me increase my marks in gs. Also I might not be possible to give solutions without my complete situation but please also recommend some loopholes which I must also have missed and should’ve focused on them for eg some I identified were- because of my ongoing degree (lack of discipline ) I did not read newspaper which I will improve from now on. Thank you sir for listening to my situation. |
88 is a decent score for first attempt.
You should spend the present time for completing the mains syllabus with notes making, including my latest mains economy course. And once that is done, u May also spend time doing some Plan B exams/PG etc. bcoz with 88 u don’t have to spend whole year reading laxmikanth again. so utilize your time for productive purpose I cannot think of any secret booklist to give you bcz most of the paper was from the routine book only. but do go thru this video https://youtu.be/400cFX2b7eg?si=j4uzKQ2Xd3LPBr4v for CSAt = finish madhukar sir course. |

| D2858 – Hari | Charansparsh sir 🙏🙏❤️ Sir mai offline optional ki class krta hu aur class me sab bachhe questions puchte rhte hai, aur mai class me puchta nahi saath hi answer aate huye mai bol nhi pata. Mujhe doubt nhi hote puchne ko… Kabhi kabhi aisa dekh k aur soch k demotivation sa lagta hai. Aur mujhe doubt nhi hote jada kuch bhi ,pdhta hu mai phir bhi. To kya doubt na hona means ki mai achhe se nhi pdha raha hu ??? |
yes then u’ll ideal topper material. kyoki u’re race ka ghodaa who prepares without engaging in faaltu-ki charchaa/phd.Do not let the other students trip you into inferiority complex. There is no correlation between the number of questions asked by learner in the live class vs chances of selection – as per my teaching experience of more than 10 years |
| D2859 – Harsh pandey | 🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️
1.Sir, mera 3,4 subject complete ho gya hai aur 1 class chal rha hai.. mujhe problem ho rhi hai sare subjects ko pdhne me … Time nhi nikal pata sab subject ko pdhne k liye.. plz itne subject ko kaise pdhu jo complete ho gye hai ? |
Rule of thumb:
1) if you can complete a topic by reading it for 20 minutes, then you should not watch the video for 40 minutes. Teacher may be offering the Video explanation for 40 minutes because he has to explain it to the weakest student of the class. If you’re not the weakest student, then you don’t have to go with it. 3) if you have paid subscription of the optional subject, then better to use its validity/duration to complete optional first, because the other things (e.g. science) are still manageable somewhat via self reading and free classes and Utube. ● It takes some time to get used to the way MCQs are formed in UPSC. It basically involves changing of certain keywords and going to elimination method. Once you get a hang of it becomes very fast to tick or skip the answers. ● Those getting poorer scores are because |

| D2862 – Aman | sir my subscription ends on 14th July 2024 and I want to watch your QEP 4 course for mains so is there any possible way to watch your QEP 4 apart from taking the subscription again just to watch your remaining 8 to 10 lectures of QEP 4. like an extension of my subscription for 10 days so that I can watch the remaining classes of QEP4 | yes. buy this standalone QEP batch: https://unacademy.com/store/batch/mains-quality-enrichment-program/TKOSVF1X
note it shows 1999/- but apply (🔖discount Code: ‘Mrunal.org’) then it’ll drop to 999/- |
| D2863 – Shadab | Hello sir, my doubt is although I read newspaper(The hindu) since beginning of my preparation but then also I face problem in sorting out articles,as to which article would be used for which paper according to our syllabus and how to extract only the relevant things from the article. | For that, you have to first complete core syllabus for pre+mains + multiple times go thru topicwise PYQs. Then you will develop the inner capacity to appreciate what topics are important for the scope of exams from the given newspaper

| D2864 – Harsh | ❤️🙏🙏 ❤️ Hello sir, We have to write ✍️ answers in hindi that’s why It is getting difficult to fast reading with translate into Hindi of handout.. Can u also give mains handout in hindi. Please 🙏 |
sadly it is Difficult for me, to maintain two set of handouts one in hindi and one in english…and continue updating them parallelly. bcoz i do this work myself and don’t rely on kaamchor content writers who only know how to cutpaste from chatGPT. isliye meri majboori hai. Therefore, to keep my life, simple, I have adopted this way for the time being.
secondly, if i made pure hindi ka handout for economy mains it’ll be difficult to memorize / process it for learner. kyoki economy, anthropolgy, science, polity = these are some of the subject. If you read them in English, you will be able to understand and memorise faster than those handouts made in pure कलिष्ठ हिन्दी. Lastly, what will you do in essay writing? Is there a book that comprehensive keep all the points in Hindi for the types of essays that’s asked in real UPSC? ultimately, One needs to have the capacity to write the things from his own mind in Hindi from the concepts that he has learnt in English. |
| D2865 – Piyush Singh | Sir I am final year engineering student, and want to give attempt in 2025. I have completed pcb11 during summer vacation. I want to cover mains portion from QEP5 which will held during pcb12. Can I do this because I want to cover other prelims subject like polity and history? Or should I have to watch your ongoing QEP course. I do not get much time due to college study. |
Then for u it will be better to come in QEP5 (3rd oct) because it will be more updated with the latest trend of Mains-2024 exam which is going to be held in September. |
| D2866 – PJPJ-7802 | Sir, I have chosen English as medium for Prelims and Mains Test. Now during filling the DAF-I form, there is an option to choose either English or Hindi as a medium during interview. I am more comfortable in Hindi than English while explaining things. Also, I have done my whole graduation in English itself. So what medium should I choose. What could be the scenarios in this case.
Also sir in this Google form there is no option for NOA in question 1, so I am choosing option 1 as it is compulsory field. Thank You Sir |
My advice is give it in English.
bcoz, my experiance as mock interview panelists has been those giving average quality answers in toota-foota english (in mock interview) managed to get better scores in real interrview compared to those giving in hindi/gujarat. |

| D2868 – Saksham Rai | Who is assigned the role of checking answer copies for mains test in QEP. Is it the faculty? What is their credibility for the same? | Paper checking done by mentors who have qualified in the previous mains exams. And their provided with model answer key against which they are supposed to be evaluate it on various parameters. then some of the sample copies are then rechecked by educators to ensure kaamchori nhi ho rhai hai. |

| D2870 – suchit | good evening, sir, my name is Poonam Yadav. currently I work as patwari in up. I appeared in prelims in 5 times, could not clear the prelims, presently I m not able to take correct decision, that I go ahead with QEP or again starts with basic I think, there is a problem in my basics in polity. I completed my optional psir, never give any mains test series. plz guide me sir |
this time the paper was relatively manageable from the routine books, so you should not be spending next 11 months Just going back to that.
presently better to use your time for completing the Mains and optional, including notes making, and answer writing. here is the ongoing program, including answer writing with evaluation https://unacademy.com/batch/mains-quality-enrichment-program/TKOSVF1X Suddenly, regarding what correction should be made for prelims preparation? watch this vid https://youtu.be/400cFX2b7eg?si=X6IiUNPOlC8rtjh0 |
| D2871 – shivkumar Awatade | Hello sir, modern india ke liye latest spectrum padhu ya fir tamil nadu state ki book, ancient medivial ke liye ncert padhu ya tamil nadu book and please tell itne me mains cover hojayega kya, or isme aur kounsi book add karu ki mains bhi pura ho jaye for history?
For polity which book to follow for mains apart from laxmikant or can we rely on current affairs of polity in last year governance ke liye kaha se padhe…from where to cover governance for mains and what source to refer for disaster managment and ethics. |
1) considering fragmented nature of history questions being asked in the Mains examination, there is no single book that will help help you better to complete the PowerPoint of the pratik sir in selective fashion in ths QEP course.
2) polity mains static portion like role of NGO/pressure group / e-governance etc. = pearson kartiykeyan governance book. 3) DM and ethics= explained in this video – check timestamps |
| D2872 – Vandini | My name is vandini , I’m confused in choosing the optional subject I have done my graduation in commerce stream . But all th crucial years of college in which the major chunk of commerce and accountancy were taught in online mode , and I’m not confident in that aspect , Intially I decide to choose philosophy as I’m interested in theory subjects and also I was interested in that subject and also because it’s mainly static . I want to choose ifs as my first career option and also next year in 2025 I want to enroll myself in masters in international relations ( considering my abilities I’ll give my first attempt in 2025 but I’m not that confident so I want to enroll myself in further academics) and So I. Have to study some part of pol sci and international relations in order to prepare for the entrance , so I decided to choose psir and I was taking classes for psir but somewhere I’m scared of the subject as it’s my first time studying this and Mai thoda overthink krrhi hu but mujhe darr lgrha hai . Quotes aur bhut zayda current hoga . Please give me some advise | known devil is better than unknown devil. in CSE-2020 toppers with commerce = 27/210 = 13% success rate toppers with PSIR = 154/1863 = 8% success rate. toppers with philosophy = 20.If you’re a commerce graduate then Why not take Commerce as an optional that can also help you in State PSC exams for commercial tax inspectors / excise asst. commissioners / accounts officer class-1 etc?Even if you did not study commerce seriously during college years, enough guidance/material available in today’s age. And Commerce is also among decent optional subject, giving good results. The choice of optional subject has no bearing on your service choice. Even if you opt for foreign service as first preference, the Interview panel is not going to grill you for 30 minutes on foreign relations / IR. they’ll ask u other qs from ur biodata as well. |

| D2874 – Shivam Kumar | Hello Sir, I have completed your PCB10 Course and have to appear for CSE-2025 . So, should I complete QEP4 now or wait for 2025 QEP course? I am a plus subscriber , Do I need to buy Test Series from Coaching like Vision/Forum at time of my Mains examination or can rely on Unacademy Mains Test Series?(As Vision /Forum tests suggested by toppers) |
1) wait for QEP5 (3rd oct). As it will have more updated content as per the exam trend of Mains-2024
2) There are many Gujarati dinerhall in Ahmedabad. Atithi, Radhe, Gwalbhog, etc. In the similar price range of 400-500. so if u ask me which one better? my answer – ek hi baat hai. basically same thing. only ur mental satisfication ifu’re going to different place. No need to spend extra money. Use the test that are available on Unacademy platform. |
| D2875 – Anu Sharma | Sir regarding prelims, many toppers which had scored much above than the cutoff are explaining their strategy based on their experience.
