FAQ

FAQ1: You are launching the Mains Course very late. I will not get enough time for revision!

Ans. Economy for Mains is not that big. UPSC asks questions mostly centred around the reparative themes of GDP, Inflation, Unemployment, Inclusive Growth etc. which is not more than 10-15 lectures worth maal. Nonetheless, if you are in hurry to finish it, then go through the previous recorded course QEP3.

FAQ2: Why have you kept microeconomics separately?

Ans. In last 12 years only two MCQ have been asked.

YET, it requires minimum 5 hours of lecture video and 20-30 pages worth of handout. It breaks the speed / ‘raftaar’ for finishing Prelims syllabus faster.

Hindi Improvement?

मैं दूसरों से हिंदी अनुवाद नहीं करता। क्योंकि वो बस गूगल ट्रांसलेट से कॉपी पेस्ट मारते हैं. जबकि विषय को हिन्दी में समझना हो तो वाक्यों का अंग्रेज़ी से शब्दश: अनुवाद नहीं, भावानु-वाद करना पड़ता है। जो उन content-writers के बस की बात नहीं क्योंकि वे मेरी तरह इस विषय के विशेषज्ञ नहीं है, या वे कामचोर है, या उनको प्रति-पेज ढेर सारा पैसा चाहिए । और मेरे पास अभी उतना समय नहीं है कि मैं संपूर्ण हिन्दी handout स्वयं से बनाऊँ।

  • While my handout contains translation of important keywords in Hindi, but making pure 100% percent Hindi handout not possible at present for me.
  • kyoki content writing is full of kaamchor people…who only do google-translate/chatGPT despite paying them good money. Therefore, I do not rely on anyone. I only make content which I can make by myself.
  • So if I have to make a Hindi handout, I will make it manually but presently I don’t have time for it.

To improve vocabulary & expression skills for Mains you may do following:

  • ✅# NCERT Class 11 Indian Economic Dev. Yes Read it.
  • ✅# After my course is over, read Introductions and conclusions of each chapter of vol1 of all economic surveys from 2015 onwards from http://indiabudget.gov.in/ (But need not do for Economic Survey which was published in 2022-Jan. Because it does not have such a great content)
  • ✅# Chief Editor’s Desk (Preface page) of last 2 years’ Yojana & Kurukshetra magazines.
  • If still more time, read Dr. Raghuram Rajan’s book “Breaking the Mould” in Hindi.
