Those who’re unhappy with their result in any of the exams conducted by Staff Selection Commission (SSC), you can file RTI to SSC get your marks and OMR sheet.

Step 1: Draft the application

Either copy paste following thing in MS word, or manually write it on a plain paper.

Sub: Application for Information under R.T.I 2005.

Madam / Sir,

Provide me following details regarding the XYZ exam (“Name, month and Year of Exam for example “FCI-2013 Grade III held in Nov 2012”)

  1. Marks scored by myself <Give Your Name> Roll No.XYZ *insert your roll number*
  2. Photocopy of OMR sheet of Roll No.XYZ *insert your roll number*
  3. Cut offs in XYZ category (for example General category)
  4. Final answer keys for the above exam
  5. Ground for rejection of Roll No.XYZ
  6. Contact details of the First Appellate Authority.

Enclosure:

  1. IPO worth Rs.10/- as R.T.I application fees.

  • Once you sign this letter, make a photocopy (xerox) as evidence.

Step 2: Buy IPO

Now goto post office and buy two items

  1. Envelop
  2. An Indian Postal Order (IPO) Worth Rs.10/-
  • Get the IPO “cancelled”, by way of date stamp being put by the postal staff
  • On this IPO, write following “Accounts Officer, SSC, New Delhi”. Ask the postal clerk to get it ‘crossed’ (he’ll put a stamp on this IPO).
  • On the left side slip, write “SSC, Date”, tear it out and preserve it for your own future reference and evidence.
  • Staple the the IPO with your paper application.
  • Now insert your IPO+Application in the envelop.

Step 3: Send the R.T.I application

  • On the envelop write the following address

Block No. 12, Kendriya Karyalaya Parisar,
Lodhi Road, New Delhi – 110 003.

  • Send it via speed post or regular post.(for regular post, just paste a Rs.5/- postal stamp, but pay Rs.3/- more and get a certificate of posting done)
  • Wait for 40 days. (because delivery of mail to-and-fro takes time.)
  • If you donot get reply by that time, and or if you’re unsatisfied with the reply then second stage is to appeal to the “First appellate authority (FAA)”
