Ans:- I am from a lower middle class family who resides in Rewari (Haryana).I am serving in Indian Air Force since 2003 as a technician. I wanted to become an officer since beginning of my service life but lack of motivation delayed it. A constant belief of my mother and my wife along with an unprecedented motivation from my mother-in-law and my sister(Kusum) made me to enter in the competitive field after my graduation.

Essay/Descriptive paper
Q. How did you prepare the Essay, grammar, prƩcis and report writing?
Ans:- I specifically did not prepare for second paper but my habit of constant writing on various issues in notes form enabled me sailed through this. But in last few days I referred Spectrumās Essay collection. I believe that if someone has in depth knowledge of any subject then writing essay on that does not remain a difficult task. I have worked in draftingĀ field in Air Force which was quite useful in prĆ©cis and report writing.
Q. In CAPF-2012 Exam, Which essay did you write in and what keypoints did you include in it?
Ans:- I chose ā Population stabilization ā Indiaās critical need to write on. I focussed on unemployment problem, diminishing resources, effect on economy, falling living standard, sanitation problem, environmental issues and health issues as key points.
Q. In CAPF-2012, they asked counter-arguments for following, in 75 words. Please provide your answer.
argument | your counter argument |
(i) FDI in retail in India is a bane for a small trader. | I gave the points of quality enhancement through greater competition. New ideas, innovation and surprise elements may be introduced by small traders. Overall elemination of small traders will never be there because enmasse will even then depend on small traders. |
(ii)Ā Control of social media is an anti-democratic proposition. | I gave the point that absolute freedom is nowhere mentioned inĀ even in our constitution. Moreover the same is uncontrollable too. If control over social media is not exercised then it may result into any unwanted menace which may lead to huge setback, fiasco or jeopardy to our system. |
Physical Test
Q. To pass Physical Efficiency Tests (PET), what preparation did you do at home? Where was your PET held? How was your experience, share some tips.
Ans:- As I am a defence personnel, physical activities are part of my day to day routine. So I did not need very much preparation of PET. But a few days before my PET I took the timings of 800m and 100m runs respectively which assured me about success in this part as I was in well in time in both of these. My PET was held in CRPF Camp,Talegaon (Pune) and it was an immensely good experience. I managed to succeed in all the activities quite easily. My only suggestion in this field is that one should believe on himself/herself because an average human being can complete all these activities.
