Q. Tell us something about yourself. When and why did you enter in the competitive exam field? It was my childhood dream to join defence service or police service because of my schooling from sainik school n my defence family background. I started preparing for competitive exams from my college days.

Q. List of Essential books and tips for success in the CAPF written exam?
History-ncert and bipin Chandra, geography- ncert from 6 to 12, g.c. leong, polity- laxmikant, economics-ncert 11,12, economic survey, dutt and sundaram for basics, science-ncert from 8 to 12,current affairs-chronicle, last but most important- mrunal.org for everything which is not available at other place.

Essay/Descriptive paper

Q. How did you prepare the Essay, grammar, précis and report writing?

Not any special preparation but for essay just took basic information about currently happening issues from various sites,frontline and yojna magazine.

Q. In CAPF-2012 ExamWhich essay did you write in and what keypoints did you include in it?

I wrote on emergence of regional parties and its effect on the federal structure of india.

First I gave definition about regional party and the word FEDERAL then historical background of emergence of regional parties and their success and failure then I wrote about current status of regional parties and their affects on functioning of government with examples and I also gave some examples from other countries also then future prospect and role of parties in order to maintain perfect democracy n federal structure, also used quotes as and when required.

Q. In CAPF-2012, they asked counter-arguments for following, in 75 words. Please provide your answer.

<tdeight:18px;”> argument<tdeight:18px;”> your counter argument<tdeight:176px;”> (i) FDI in retail in India is a bane for a small trader.<tdeight:176px;”> Infact it’s a boon but due to false awareness and lack of proper knowledge about perfect

functioning of economy its portraited as bane, it can create positive effects in employement,industrial,infrastructure sectors and at last overall economy.<tdeight:138px;”> (ii) Control of social media is an anti-democratic proposition.<tdeight:138px;”> Control of social media is not anti democratic as far as it is being control for internal as well as external security and for national interest but at the same time wrong use of control should also be regulated and checked.

Physical Test

Q. To pass Physical Efficiency Tests (PET), what preparation did you do at home? Where was your PET held? How was your experience, share some tips.

I started running for 2 to 3 kms daily after I came to know that I got qualified for PET.

Done some practice for long jump too by watching some techniques from U TUBE videos. My PET was in pune and it was very nice experience with good encouragement from crpf officers and staff who were conducting the PET.

Interview

Q. What specific preparation did you do for the interview? Who was the chairman? Provide the list of questions asked in CAPF Interview. (and if possible, the answers as well). How was the overall interview experience? And any tips for future aspirants.

I joined CAREER QUEST classes for interview and also took guidance from my friends who cleared UPSC in last 2 years.

6)give me some present Indian hockey players name- sardara singh is our captain and while laughing I tolg that mam there is also one player who resembles my name then she asked who? Then I told yuvraj walmiki from Maharashtra.

8)what is Interpol and which agency is co ordinating with it in india- I told about Interpol but I was not sure about Indian agency which is co ordinating with it so once after guessing wrong I told them that I don’t know

9)you are coming from Gujarat where people usually don’t prefer to join these type of services then why u are here to join this service?- I told about my dream,schooling,family background as my reason to join this service.

10)don’t you want to join military even it is very prestigious job as well as good facilities and standard of living?- sir definitely I will join military if I get chance to join but if I am getting cpf(ac) then I will prefer this service only because of wide field of working and all.

11)m3) I will ask u from your graduation subject, ok?- yes sir 12)what is budget and why we make budget?

13)what is difference between direct tax and indirect tax? 14)what is difference between tax and fees?

15)what is the problem in our sample survey datas and what steps should be taken to correct it? 16)m4)the image of police force is not good in our society so what steps you will take to change it in positivity?

Except budget n Interpol questions I was very satisfied with my answers and I got 104 marks in interview.

Q. How was interview: normal, stress, mixed? Did they ask any uncomfortable questions, if yes how did you answer it?

Interview was very normal and members were very very co ordinative.

Q. How did you maintain the study-mood, motivation and tempo throughout this period? There are ups and downs- phases of mood swings, sometimes boredom and even depression. How did you fight that psychological battle? On an average, how many hours do you study?

I studied very seriously when I started prepration but after 1 year the pace was very slow but I retain that speed with the mode of entertainment and support from friends n family member and I give this credit to my respected mom n dad, without them it was impossible for me to clear this exam. Usually I studied for 8 to 10 hours on an average.

Q. What was your service preference order (CRPF>CISF>SSB etc) and why did you pick up the particular order?

CISF>SSB>BSF>CRPF>ITBP

Q. Through this journey and success, what wisdom did you gain about competition and life? What is your message to the aspirants?

Life is a battle, if u won then you are success person and if you loose then you are experienced person but in both way you gain something so most imp part is to fight this battle irrespective of thinking about result.

Dear aspirants- nothing in this world can stop you to get the thing which you desire very religiously and with 100% dedication so go ahead and strive to reach the point where your desires allow you to go.
