[Polity/Rights issues] Colour-coded card system for PHYSICALLY HANDICAPPED (PH) certificate
New rules are as follows:
- PH candidates need to submit their applications through the UDID portal.
- After submission, the card may be issued within three months (previously, it was issued within a month).
- Medical checkups from non-profit or trust hospitals are not allowed.
- White, yellow, and blue cards will be issued.
- White = for those with a disability below 40 percent
- Yellow = 40–80 percent disability
- Blue = 80 percent and above disability
- These rules were made by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DePWD) under the Ministry of Social Justice.
