Marksheet for prelims / mains / interview?
- Previously, after CSE-2012’s final result declaration, UPSC had uploaded the official prelim answer key, cutoffs and scores of everyone on their site. (Including the scores of candidates who failed in prelims).
- UPSC will do the same within next 15 days i.e. around 27th June 2014.
- Those who’re planning to shoot RTIs should wait and watch until then. Reason: even if you send RTI right now, UPSC will reply only a few days before 30 days legal deadline (it is one of the patented thuggary /red tape adopted by UPSC).

hi mrunal sir,
i need ur valuable guidance regarding application filling.
i have written mains 2013, with public admin as optional.
i ve appeared for interview, and somehow doubt that i fared badly in the optional, which im not sure and too early to comment without seeing scores.
i applied for 2014civils exam already, taking the same optional.
but based on scores to be released around june27-28th, im planning to change optional(to anthro), if my pub admin scores are too low.
is it okay to fill another applic changing optional?(if its before june30)
and what would ur advise be regarding continuing with my public admin optional?

hellp mrunal sir,this is my 2nd attempt.i lost my 1st attempt in prelims itself.this time i will surely clear.now i have confusion in my optional.i m M.SC MATHS graduate.i finished it by local college.i want to choose maths as my optional.but my mentors says the questions done by only those who study IIT level.i dnt knw wat to do.i m waiting for u valuable advise. thanking u

I am preparing for civil services with mathematics optional and i wrote mains in cse2013.. the paper is not very tough but one has to complete whole syllabus to attempt for 250 marks in both papers. i completed only 8 out of 13 chapters and i suffered so if you take maths optional please complete the total syllabus.

if u have done well in Msc maths den u shud opt for maths ..very scoring subject …but lot of practice is required . go through previous years papers.
Attended interview but couldn’t qualify. My interview was mostly technical and they asked most of the questions from my engineering and management degrees. That time one thought came in my mind that it is not an interview for selection but for rejection. I completed my engg 4 years back and MBA 2 years back and working in IT company as process consultant. it was very difficult for me to recollect the technical terms and answer them. Surprisingly they didnt ask anything from my job profile, hobbies, achievements and home state. Simply that was not my day and it happens sometimes in life.
After qualifying mains exam i m feeling more confident and energetic person who can do anything on this earth. Now my knowledge, motivation and attitude towards the life is on positive side as it is not easy to qualify this exam. So be positive guys, keep yours motivation high, burn negative thoughts and point yours finger towards UPSC building and say wait for me, i m coming again with bang. I f u want any help from my side, you r most welcome.

Hello sir, This was my fourth interview and fifth mains , but i could not clear this time also…Reason I don’t know. I correctly wrote all the 25 questions in GS Paper -1 with full confidence and 23 questions in GS paper-II. but i got only 68 and 43 respectively in these papers. my total marks are 711 (OBC). I scored 215 in my history optional( 104 +111) but only 68 in my GS-I paper of history and geography. My experience says there is some problem with UPSC Marking pattern. I am totally broken now..please guide. can I go to Court for Re- evaluation?

Hi, I am a BCA graduate and did not have Maths in my graduation although it is one of my favorite subjects. I am planing to choose Maths as an optional subject for my mains exam. I have good knowledge of math till 12th standard. Can anyone please suggest me if it is a good idea to opt for maths?? And I have heard about scaling of marks in UPSC, can anyone explain that to me as well.
