Side note: Interviews for Assistant commandant (CAPF-2013) will start from 16th June 2014.

Additional candidates below the merit list, because there will be some toppers who already have good job from previous civil service exam and may not accept the job given in CSE-2013, then buffer list candidates may get a chance. UPSC hasn’t disclosed the exact role numbers of the candidates in the buffer list yet.

Marksheet for prelims / mains / interview?
- Previously, after CSE-2012’s final result declaration, UPSC had uploaded the official prelim answer key, cutoffs and scores of everyone on their site. (Including the scores of candidates who failed in prelims).
- UPSC will do the same within next 15 days i.e. around 27th June 2014.
- Those who’re planning to shoot RTIs should wait and watch until then. Reason: even if you send RTI right now, UPSC will reply only a few days before 30 days legal deadline (it is one of the patented thuggary /red tape adopted by UPSC).

I hv got 591 rank . This was my 2nd attempt. Am a working professional and didn’t took any coaching. Lot of credit goes to you. I have filled audit-acounts, ICLS, ITS and IIS in this order after Customs. I will reappear and had this in mind while filling service preference. Can you tell the scope for these services which I might get? Looking forward to this year cycle under your guidance.

@Mrunal Sir… In your “Topper’s Interviews”, please include this question on ANSWER WRITING STRATEGY as well: “Whether you relied on POINT / BULLET form of answers, OR PARAGRAPHS ?”
Because most coaching centers till now have been advocating vociferously in favour of PARAGRAPHS. But current scenario, logically demands for POINTS, by which we cay cover maximum in minimum words & time. Strategy adopted by successful candidates may help in testifying / rejecting this logic.
I empathizes with the people who worked tirelessly for more than one year and could not secure there names in final list. One positive is that after a year or so UPSC will call atleast 100 guys like it did for UPSC 2012(but for that you have to wait for a year). You are an asset to this country so never loose hope. Time will heal your wounds and you people will find your name in 2014 list.
Hey, Thnx Shubham! It’s so considerate of you that you remembered the ppl who dint made into the ‘final pdf’… One query, if possible, pls address, “what about the candidate whose result has been withheld??” what are the probable reasons for the same and how can we know about it??

looks like J n k has a fixed quota of 10 students each year…..and the qualified ones are also mostly doctors or state civil servants.
it’s time for simple gradutes and post graduates to enter the arena…….but such is the craze of “GADHA-MANUFACTURING” jammu University’s degrees that most of the students are content with medocre ad-hoc jobs,without even realising their potential………….
dear bhanu,the exam is open to all.but ultimately who will put intelligent and more hardwork will get rewarded.THere is very low self efficacy expectation(=I CAN DO) among jmu university students.Friend, one cant succeed, even if he is provided with all the study material and enviroment, if he has serious doubt about his capability.

Attended interviews but cudn’t figure in the final list.
Is it possible to know the cut off of reserve list in 15 days?
There could be some way to calculate the cut-off estimate for different categories (after the actual cut-off is published).
in 2011…when i took cvls interview n ws out of list…iI had 23 marks lss than cut off…around 90 candidates in reserve list were to be selected from general….reserve list stretched to 12-13 marks.1090 was ut off n i guess 1078 or 1077 was d reserve list cut off.
