@muthu…dont worry..i think that u will be alloted seat in general category…bcoz ibps mentioned that no change in category..-if i m nt wrong….and if ibps provide a chance for changing category.. that would be good for u…but if u dont get chance fight for a gen cat seat….gud luck

if u r obc u have to submit the non-cramy layer certificate…otherwise they wnt permit u to attend the interview its cleraly told in the notification that they want allow to change category..somehow try to get non-creamylayer certificate. if obc creamy layer u have to give ur category as GENERAL next tym …..all the best
note: last tym wen my friend attended the sbi clerks interview …they asked for non-creamylayer certificate…but she was obc creamy layer as her dad was a class 1 officer.. so the village officer dint give her non-creamy layer certiificate..she cudnt attend the interview ,,so plzz frndzzz better take care wen submitting the applctn..otherwise u have to forfiet ur chance…..

i think u can convince them that u had wrongly entered the percentage ..(if u satisfy the minimum % in grduation needed for a po)….tell them u dont know how to calculate 5 from the cgpa marks… dnt worry they will aloow u..

I am from BTech CSE,and I gave interviews before during PO-1,from “sehkarmi” experience if it is a long time since you completed your graduation then no,otherwise science and tech only(phisics-laws of thermodynamics and newton’s laws etc)….sometimes very weird questions (Andhra Bank-implementation of robotics in banking sector)…

friends is it true that even slight wrong entry in name and date birth is reason for disqualification. I have written my full last name while metriculation certificate has only initial letter.

no, u will not get disqualified. Even i have committed the same mistake.
I have talked to some friends, at max u’ll be asked to provide an affidavit for the same within a specified duration. Just accept that it was done unintentionally.

prefrennce bharne ya na bharne wali baat nahi hai shafi bhai…..1st day of downloading of call letter for int. and till the date of result of int. is out…..whole period is to be considered as interview pocess..(16-01-2014 TO 31-03-2014).bcoz in this tym…candidate cant do anything except…int prep, attending int, discussing cutoff etc..
and plz dont use bawla lyk word…this is less appropriate in the context of a CHAMBAL RESIDENT CANDIDATE…LOL

hey neetu what about the the order of first middle and last name. in ibps form my i have my first name middle name and last name but in my ssc result my last name comes first since that is the prescribed format in my state. will this be a problem

u got 80 marks out of 200…..after interview marks will be converted in out of 80….
so ur cwe marks will be 80/2.5= 30
now interview marks are 100 (40% is passing marks=40 for general cat….int marks then will be convertd into out of 20…
suppose u got 60 marks out of 100…so after conversion…16 bcoz int. weightage is 20 marks
so 60/5=16
ur final marks……30+16=46/100 (sure shot score for getting a job)..

total score in 100 is, 32+12=44
according to previous years cutt off and the recent years marks the rate for final recruitment will be from 42 to 60
so dont worry…yu will get selected…if you done well in interview

1. less mark(61-70)+hard work in int= sure job
2.avg mrk(71-80)+normal performnce in int=sure job
3. good mark(80+)+10 mark/passing mark=sure job

no, they wont do any background check. But, experience would have increased your chances.
For B.tech %, you can mention the same while certificate verification. As you are well above required minimum % and as your mistake is a honest mistake, they will make you write a declaration and update your marks in their records. All the very best.
I forgot to mention. As you didn’t mentioned about your work experience, they will ask you about the “GAP” in between. I recommend you to think about a feasible lie and do some background search on that lie.
For example: If you tell them that you are preparing for Civil Services exam, You must be able to back it up with some subject knowledge which is useful for civil services.

say you have final score of 44, and your first preference is BOI and if the cut off of that particular bank is 43, you will get your first preference and if cut off is 45, you will be considered for the second preference and so on.

@neetu – what about state allotment ? how do they allot states ?
Once you are allotted to a particular bank, it is the bank’s internal decision to allot you which state or city or village. Having contacts and influence within the bank’s headoffice helps. This will be decided only after the mandatory training(1-2 weeks).
For example, even if you are from Punjab and are allotted PNB, you can be posted in Bengal or Kerala branches of PNB because the PNB’s HR dept allots it on alphabetical order based on first name :P

IBPS INTERVIEW is always on the basis of category. like they call SC/ST first then OBC and finally GENERAL category but mark are not consider ,I got 82 in obc categogy.
