last yr, a guy scored 170 marks in UR category whereas cut off for that category was 135, still he couldn’t make it. He was failed in the interview.
So guys, don’t take interview lightly. Some guys are saying that mere appearance in the interview can guarantee a job if you have secured very good marks. Yes, good marks means even an average performance (or sometimes a bad day) will not affect much, but there is no surety for the job. At the end of the day u have to qualify the interview too.
Please do not misguide anyone.
So let it be a fair chance.

formal dress with formal shoes is sufficient. Make sure that you are comfortable with them.

From the comments i have read so far only south indians are having trouble to get the non creamy layer certificate. So i just made a guess :) by the way when is your interview? mine is on 5th in chennai IOB.

Hi Mahesh i am also from TN.My interview is on 5th..I’ve got OBC NCL certificate in format issued by TN govt..it’s quite similar to IBPS proforma only with a slight variation..is tat ok? Does tat cause any prob?
hi john i guess that should be enough. They just want a NCL certificate and since it has only slight variations it wont be a prob. so relax and prepare for interview. all the best for your interview :)

Ofcourse u shud go for the interview…. jus scoring high doesn’t mean that those candidates are definitely going to be selected. What n how u answer in ur interview is also important and that will add up to ur final score. Even if ur score is low, still u should go and take it as an experience for next year. All d best.
dude if you can score about 70-80 % in interview then you can have a fair chance. And always remember that even if you won,t get selected , the experience u would achieve will see you through in later t6imes

i have got only 66 in ibps po 3 in general category should i go for interview because i dont think there is any chance of mine getting selected with such low marks :(
Don’t talk such stupid thing yar. V r no one to decide about the chances. IBPS must have marked the cutoffs for written in proportion to vacancies. So all the candidates qualified should definitely go for the interview. May b u get enough marks in interview to stand in the final merit whereas the one scoring 80 may not b able to ans the questions of the panel will get definitely a zero. So just go ahead n prepare well for ur interview. All d best.

I think a definite YES…its just my opinion. But do prepare well for ur interview. Because performance thr, may affect ur chances in a positive or negative way… according my own personal interview experience of last 2 IBPS CLERICAL EXAMS. Despite securing a gud enuf score I couldn’t make it to the final merit just becoz I was unable to answer few obvious question which they had expected out of commerce background candidate.
Me too, i also could not made it to the final cut off of ibps clerical last year they asked me to tell the difference between memorandom of association and artical of association and got badly stuck on that question and i guess thats why i could not made to the final cut off,Vesey i got 120 in last year clerical exam how much did you got ? @ Shivani
129. Thr r few people I know who got selected with a score of 122 also. That proves how important role perfomance in interview plays.
SHIVANI 129 IS QUITE A HIGH SCORE ,I THINK YOU SHOULD HAVE MADE IN WITH 129 IT WAS REALLY QUIT GOOD SCORE,BUT JUST OUT OF CURIOSITY CAN U TELL HOW MUCH U HAVE GOT THIS TIME IN RRB SCALE 1.
Didn’t appeared for the scale 1 this time. Frankly speaking my luck is not responding positively since 2 years. In first IBPS I had got 173 when thr were separate interviews. People in central bank got selected with a score of 170 also…but dnt knw what happened in my case. :-( Lets hope what happens this tym in PO n Clerk… I’v just gone thru all my commerce n accounts buks.. hope i m able to answer all the qustns promptly.

i got 76 in obc …but my village tehsildar is not issuing the caste certificate it in the prescribed proforma of IBPS …they say they cant do on this proforma ..they will use only their proforma …he straight away reject the request and did not entertain us …
wat to do….my opportunity gone…. can sumone help me ..totally depressed after so much happiness…i have lost everything ..waste another year …i hate this country .. :(
ashu dont worry, just take the printout of the proforma from IBPS website and go to VAO ( Village Administrative Officer) first get it signed by him and then get the signature of RI(Revenue Inspector) and finally go to teshildar. They will put seal and sign in the printout provided by us because they dont have this format. So stop worrying and run to VAO now. You need to carry a copy of ur TC, marksheets, ration card and your father’s income proof. VAO and RI will sign on the same day but teshildar will take some 3 – 4 days to sign so start the process now itself. :)

some one please reply , i have done integrated BBA + MBA (oil gas marketing) completed in 2012 dec. i got 62 in po. now my question is how to tackle question why u want to join bank after doing oil and gas. i am giving mock in mahendra and when i am giving above questions answer they are kickning me out. i got 90.6 in graduation but then also not got placed. what are the possible answer should i give so as to convince interviwer that i will be good for bank job. it seem as if have done a crime by not getting placed in oil and gas company and appearing for bank job.
Hi vivek, if you go through Mrunal sir’s article on IBPS interview you will feel relaxed. you need to convince them that you will never leave the bank job and do well in the interview. all the best

I am currently working as head cashier in a psb. But i am not getting no objection certificate from the bank as i had not taken permisson for written examination from hrd. If i appear as fresher than i have to explain last 4year’s gap. And i have cmpleted jaiib also, which i cant submit at intrvw as a fresh candidate. However i have nt mentioned about my work in the application form. So i wl be able to appear, but dont know where i will stand amongst other candidate. I am obc candidate and age 29 and my score 61. Please advice me sir.
I’m also selected for IBPS PO/MT-III interview and this was my second attempt at IBPS PO. This will be my second interview experience (first was with TCS during campus recruitment) but I am very confused and a little scared too about the interview, because I don’t have any job experience and have a gap of two and a half years after graduation. So all in all I don’t have much to justify the gap, the switch from engg. to banking, my capabilities etc..someone please help me! Ohh, and I am a Gen candidate having an Engineering degree and I am sitting on my ‘tashreef’ doing nothing since graduation..!

1. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) will provide dollars directly to state oil companies in attempt to support the rupee that has slumped over 20 percent this year. State-run companies are the biggest source of dollar demand in markets – worth $400 million to $500 million daily – and directing them to a special window is meant to reduce pressure on the rupee.
2. The government will soon issue quasi-sovereign bonds to help bring more dollar inflows into the country. Under the scheme, state finance companies will sell these bonds to fund infrastructure development.
3. The RBI will sell Rs. 22,000 crore bonds every week to check the volatility in forex market.
4. The government has hiked the import duty on gold and silver to 10 percent to rein in the imports. The RBI has tightened the norms for gold imports by linking them to exports. Also, credit availability for gold imports has also been tightened.
5. The RBI has reduced the amount of dollar resident Indians can take out of the country from $2,00,000 to $75,000 in a financial year. Indian companies have to seek RBI’s permission if they want to invest any amount beyond their net worth abroad. Earlier, a company could invest as much as four times its net worth in an overseas venture.
6. PSU oil companies would be allowed to raise additional funds – $4 billion – through external commercial borrowings (ECBs).
7. In a bid to attract NRI deposits, the RBI liberalised bank deposit schemes and some banks raised rates for overseas Indians this month.
8. To spur banks to attract more dollar deposits from NRIs, the RBI has exempted these deposits from cash reserve ratio and statutory liquidity ratio requirements.
9. The RBI has tightened liquidity to reduce the availability of rupee in the banking system to reduce rupee volatility. However, these measures have led to an increase in the short-term interest rates.
10. The government has banned the duty-free import of flat-screen televisions to stem the flow of foreign currency out of the country. It is estimated that more than 1 million television sets were brought into the country last year. Under the new rules, airline passengers will have to pay a 35 percent duty and other charges.

Mere na 63 no. aaye hai, Sach mai bahut ghabrahat ho rahi hai interview ko lekar. First time mai hi select ho gai hu isliye experience bilkul nahi hai par mai na kisi bhi condition mai interview crack karna chahti hui. Iske pehle bhi zindagi mai civil services mai failure dekhe hai jiska frustraion aaj tak nahi gaya, aur shayad yahi karan hai ki mujhe koi govt. job nahi mili abhi tak. Puri schooling meri Hindi medium se hui hai isliye bahut jayda strugglr karna padata hai. kya IBPS ke interview mai bhi meri hindi medium ki problem aayegi ?
@deepika-as long as u answer him convincingly with confidence there is no problem……chahe aap hindi me do ya english me.jahan tak english ki baat hai vo to aap 2 din me nahi sikh sakte……so forget that and go with confidence
