I’ve closed the comment system, because aspirants wasting too much time in debate, rather than studying.
UPSC has uploaded the halltickets for CSAT-2014. No change in exam date. It’s same 24th august 2014, Sunday. No change in exam structure- same two papers. No change in negative marking, same 33%.

Warning
- For entering date of birth while downloading admit card: select year first, then month and then date in the end..else it will not get selected.
- any discrepancy in name, parent’s name, photo then send mail to web-upsc@nic.in
- You’ve to tick OMR answers only in BLACK pen. Otherwise you paper will not will evaluated.
- I recommend you bring clipboard. Reason: Sarkaari colleges and highschools have benches have rough surface and holes. It’ll “injure” your OMR sheet while you’re marking answer in black pen.
- if you’ve applied twice, then Use HIGHER REGISTRATION number while downloading the hallticket.
- If your hallticket doesn’t have clear photo/signature, you will have to bring a photo identity proof viz. Adhar Card, Driving License, Passport, Voter I Card etc. and two passport size photographs one for each paper with an undertaking.
- Save your own hallticket PDF file in google drive. So there is no fear of misplacing/forgetting roll number.

Wat abt IFoS…?
Current pattern already gave advantage to HIndi Medium people as passages are given HIndi. If i were to read and answer passages in my mother tongue, it would be peace of cake for me. Why these people are still protesting, when it is the regional language people who should do all the protesting..

IF HINDI TRANSLATIONS ARE WRONG HOW CAN BE SOLUTION SEEMS TO BE CORRECT DEAR FRIENDS
Plz dont mislead ppl.. UPSC can’t get away with providing ‘WRONG’ translation. Someone might have sued UPSC for that already.
If not you should have approached the court.
At best you may say ‘difficult’ translation. But then again, that’s a subjective thing.

is any change in upsc prelims exam pattern is expected for this year?
Q.) You are a chairman of constitutional & independent board like Union Public Service Commission. Recently few students started protesting against the pattern of examination. Taking seriousness of the matter Central Government has formed a committee 36 days prior to examination and asked it to submit its report at the earliest. Now, you have to issue admit cards as date of examination is within one month. What will you do?
a)You are an independent body so you will just issue admit card without waiting for committee’s report.
b)You will wait for committee’s report as within one week report is about to come.
c)You will form committee to speed up the process. The committee will include people from both sides along with retd. administrators in field of civil services and academic background people.
d)You will postpone the whole process till the amiable solution is found out as your quick decision can effect many people.

On other significant matters, In a despicable display of arrogance, some of the more fortunate ones are branding the protesters as “hooligans” and “misfits”. While I support the CSAT pattern, I also feel that the outrage against Mr. Agrawal is absolutely justified. The conduct of the UPSC over this issue has been exceedingly undignified and unjust. Let us not be dispassionate towards the protesters even as we prepare.
I also agree on this….without even waiting for the report to come out,he has handled this issue arrogantly while showing complete obliviousness to the demand of the concerned community.This kind of handling is bound to invite ire.
Please also consider the plight of students who don’t care about the problems and difficulties of the exam but work hard to make themselves capable of handling anything that comes. Just 30 days to this exam for which they prepared for more than a year or so and you want to change the pattern? or delay the exam? My brother do you realise that if Prelims is postponed that will leave us with even lesser time for Mains prepration (which is already reduced to 3 months from previous 6). Please dont make a issue out of it. UPSC has already been too leniant to everybody – relaxed age limit, cut-off for both papers, just one optional etc. These steps have already made it a very level playing field.

Don’t worry guys UPSC not a shaitaan..bz they changed merit pattern in cast paper and also in comprehension weighteg structure.. so b ready to face new pattern.
no pro or anti CSAT but reality is that due to introduction of this CSAT prelims becomes predictable for those who are good at maths, english…and they can easily clear pre but in mains cut off is decreasing day by day..jis aspirants ka beckground convent school ka reha h..unke leye csat is walk in park…but village background aspirant has to put lot of efforts to master…. in that process loosing edge over paper-1 also…kuch to na insaafi ho rehi h…2011 se…baki aapki or UPSC ki marzi…
