- Warning: READ The NOTIFICATION thoroughly before applying. Otherwise you’ll face many problems during tier-2 and interview stage e.g. you’re not eligible for xyz post because of education /medical and so on.

- Education: Candidate must have completed their education on or before 1st August 2015.
- Age: to be counted on 1st August of the given year. (refer to table given on page1, for minimum age limit for each post and rule 5(A) on page 5.

FAQ (Frequently asked Questions)
OBC certificate
Certificates obtained in any other format will not be accepted. OBC certificate in the prescribed format issued between 02.06.2012 and upto 29.11.2015, only will be accepted.

Post preference
Revised options for posts will not be taken at the time of document verification. The options exercised in the application form are final.(page – 19 of official notification) The candidate is required to indicate his Posts-wise preference very carefully. He/She would not be considered for any post, if he/she has not indicated his preference for such posts. Option once exercised in the application is final and therefore, candidates are advised to be careful in exercise of option for posts.

Height For men – 170 cms (usually it is 165 cm in police jobs)

Tie in scores?
Ties cases will be resolved by applying one after another, as applicable till the Tie is resolved.
- Total marks in the written examination and Interview, wherever, applicable.
- Total marks of Tier-II Examination.
- Total marks in Tier-I Examination.
- (iv)Date of Birth, with older candidate placed higher.
- Alphabetical order in which the first names of the candidates appear.

Hi guys, my DOB is 10th March 1987 (OBC) but still i am facing the problem of
” PART-I Registration of your application is not completed.
Processing stopped due to the following reason:
As per age criteria You are not eligible ” this is the error i am getting again and again.
And i see many people are getting the same error so its the system fault. Please if anyone from the admin dept is keeping a track of these complaints then its our request that you please fix this error asap.

Sir my DOB is 08-10-90 & my roomie’s DOB is 07-01-89 and we are filling application for the posts having age limit till 27 or 30.. But then too the site says u exceeds the age criteria and application could not be filled . .
How come a 25 yr and 26 yes candidate overcome the age criteria… Some1 kindly respond no1 on SSC contact no. Respond or dey are either invalid no. What to do will v b able to fill the form?????

Apparently applications with D.O.B before 1/August/1990 are being accepted…some technical error with the age limit set in the script..didn’t expect such an amateur error from S.S.C.
& the funny part is that none of their contacts are reachable..!!

SSC is confusing people when they are trying to apply for any post and fit in the eligibility criteria even then message appears that you are not eligible as per your age. I tried to call on all the numbers given in the notice some of them are not available and others are switched off :(…..guys do they provide any email contact so that we can approach them to know the reason behind this.

dear friends I am also facing the same problem, my DOB is (16/08/1989) and I am also getting the same error message of the “age criteria” one, so I am thinking of filling up the form offline…..
and i too have the query that how can the minimum age limit for the posts mentioned be 18 years its a graduate level exam and i think at this age students sit for the higher secondary exams……
and more over the maximum age is 27 years that too for general category, where the generals are treated in a biased way and all the benefits and opportunities are only for the reserved candidates they get additional 5 years and they get qualified even with low scores……. in every phase its the generals who face stiff competition with low scope area
