Instructions for UPSC Mains exam

  1. UPSC Civil Services Mains-2015 Hallticket available here: upsconline.nic.in/eadmitcard
  2. If any discrepancies in the admit card- bring to notice of UPSC immediately. (In CSE-2014, Some toppers’ service allocations were withheld for a few weeks just for petty issues like “fathers name written in prelim e-card but not in mains e-card and so on. So you must be vigilant about any discrepancies.)
  3. Cross out any empty spaces/pages before the QCA booklet are handed over to the invigilator.
  4. If you don’t have a clear photographs on the e-admit card, then you must bring a photo identity proof viz. Adhar Card, Driving Licence, Passport,Voter I Card etc. and two passport size photographs one for each session for appearing in the examination with an undertaking.
  5. You may bring Scientific (Non-Programmable type) Calculators.
  6. Don’t bring valuable items, mobiles, gadgets in exam hall.

Cab pooling & Room Sharing

@Mains-2015 players: Please Post your exam-center/travel/accommodation details in comments, IF:

  1. You’re Seeking/offering any shared transport / vehicle pooling during the exam days.
  2. If you’ve any doubts on center-location/travel/accommodation AFTER Google Maps (e.g. In google maps: college name is right but area name is different, or what is the best place to stay near xyz center? etc.)
  3. If you’re a senior player (or resident of same city) and want to share some tips on the travel/lodging etc.

This could help save lot of money, time and inconvenience– particularly of players from outside the city.
