For political participation, the WEF only looked at the number of women in the Union Cabinet and in both houses of Parliament. 🥳After: The World Economic Forum (WEF) has agreed to include the participation of women at the local government (panchayat) level in India in its future reports on the global gender gap, following a request from the Indian government. This is an important step as there are 1.4 million women in the Indian panchayat system.
