Those who couldn’t make it- there is no need to lose hope. Whatever you’ve prepared for economy, reasoning, maths, English – that’ll continue helping you direct/indirectly in any other exam you appear in, but you must sustain the study-momentum, good vacancies will keep coming. First Week of January
- Interview call letters will be released.
- You’ll have to download them from the official website of IBPS
Third Week of January
- The participating banks will start interviews.
- Minimum qualifying marks in interview will not be less than 40% for general category and (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates).
March 2014
- Final Allotments of probationary officers / Management trainees based on their written + interview score.
- weightage of written : Interview score in final merit list= 80:20

In IBPS CWE PO-III i got shortlisted for interview but still got very less marks. I got 62 marks. Do you think there will be any chance of getting through?
Basically i didn’t prepare even for a day. Just applied cause friend was applying and wrote it.

@ All…let’s see as cut off is highly low down to..61…!!
CASE – 1
Let us assume a candidate scored 80 marks
as CWE:Interview = 80:20…so 80 marks equivalent will be
80/200 = X/80
X = 32
lets assume a candidate get 70% in interview…so
70/100 = Y/20
Y = 14
finally –>> X+Y = 32 + 14 = 46 Total marks
CASE – 2
LET US ASSUME THAT ON AN AVERAGE A CANDIDATE SCORE 60% IN AN INTERVIEW
i.e 12/20…!!
SCORE final score(80:20)
80 44
90 48
100 52
120 60
as per the result considering 80 marks as decent and 120 as good…
Final selection cut-off will vary between 45~60(on 200 scale)…!!
(2012…81~62 (on 250 scale)
So this year final cut-off of selection would be between 45-55 (UR)
last year it was “77.6”…!!

I thought that i am out of race ..attempted only 94 ques but still got selected (UR) ….that’s why i am surprised … not happy …i think low scorers like me are going to suffer a lot in the interview …

ppl didn’t get selection/Interview after obtaining a score of 120-130 last year…and this year they are calling for interview to all who got 61 out of 200….WTF..???

There is no relation between last year and this scores because last i cleared ibps with 145 and the cut off for reasoning was 24 then however i attempted 16 in reasoning still i got 25 i dont know how. The method of calculating changed this year for sure.
one’s score reflect your marks relative to other candidates..
even I didn’t understand their method of calculating equated score. I had no difficulty in solving mathematics. so went for solving reasoning in frustration. so I attempted 42 in reasoning with 98% accuracy because I was sure I was not going to clear the sectional cut offs. but I was vastlyyyy surprised by my score. they gave me just 17 marks in reasoning. I just don’t know how.

You should always go for the Interview if you have been shortlisted,obviously. It won’t harm you,but it definitely would help for future. Best of luck :)

kindly tell how to file RTI to IBPS ; I mean the authority and its address.
You cannot file RTI to IBPS directly. However since department of Financial services was directly related with banking and framed the guidelines of examination etc.,you can file RTI to this department for seeking information related to the exam. Even if there is any particular PIO to deal this, dep of financial services will forward the same to the concern authorities and intimate you. So give you try filing an RTI to dep of financial services.
