What to prepare for interview?

Some tips (from those comments)
- 60% on your biodata. (Why do you want to join IB? Educational background, terminology, hobbies)
- 30% on current issue (mostly national and regional. + some current related to neighboring countries from IB/security/terrorism angle.)
- 10% intelligence system of India.
- If you are not fluent in English practice it, as sometimes panel member may insist that you answer a particular question in english.
- For some people it was for 5 mins and for some it went upto 20 mins.
- In the panel, one member will be observing you and taking notes.

Documents to bring in interview
- Original certificates in support of age, educational
- qualifications (Matriculation onwards including mark sheets), other qualifications along with an attested photocopy of each of the documents;
- Original certificate in support of belonging to
- OBC/SC/ST/Ex-serviceman/J&K resident category issued from the competent authority in the prescribed proforma along with an attested photocopy thereof;
- Original certificates in support of claimed achievements in Sports/Games and other extracurricular activities along with an attested photocopy of each of the documents.
- A photo identity proof like voter ID card, PAN card, passport, driving license or any other valid proof to verify his/her identity.
- Candidates belonging to OBC category and claiming benefits thereunder must bring their OBC certificate in the proforma meant for appointment to the posts under Government of India as published in the advertisement (copy enclosed) and not for State Government jobs. If they fail to do so, they will not be allowed to appear in the interview. Certificate in any other proforma will not be accepted in any case.
- One copy each of Attestation Forms (A.F.) and Special Security Questionnaire (SSQ) may also be downloaded which are required to be filled in by the candidate for carrying out Character & Antecedents verification wherever required. These forms may please be filled in for all the columns correctly and completely and in case the space provided in any of the column is not sufficient for furnishing the information sought, the candidate can utilize an extra sheet. This is, however, made clear that issuance and filling up of the attestation form (AF) and SSQ at this stage does not mean that the candidate has been or would be necessarily selected to the post of ACIO-II/Exe. The duly filled in AF and SSQ forms are required to be deposited by the candidate on the day of interview.
- The candidate is advised to bring this interview letter without which he/she would not be allowed entry. It may be made clear that no request for change of date and place would be entertained.

I called ib helpline they said results will come in 1st week of march when I asked is it confirmed, he said no and put down the phone

A candidate who was recently called in IB to join from the waiting list of ACIO 2012.He said there is a large number candidates from the last year’s waiting list who are being asked to fill up the Attestation Form right now.He told me ACIO 2013 result is delayed due to this reason and it is expected to be announced around mid-March.The Dept is busy with the past recruitment.I hope they announce it in Feb. #WAIT CONTINUES#

Hi all.. I too attended ACIO interview.. It lasted for nearly 9 mins and questions were of political nature.. I answered well.. Do i hav any chances of getting in, since d interview duration is quite low and there were no questions regarding IB.. someone kindly reply

I have a query, i recently joined a govt job, but in my ssq forms i gave it as unemployed since i was unemployed at that time. Would any complications arise if i get selected for acio since i am in service now. Do guide me
Since you were unemployed at the time of interviews you will face no problems.All you have to do is submit an NOC from the present employer while joining IB.You should also confirm this by calling the IB helpline as different govt agencies may have varying policies regarding this issue.Be on the safe side!!

Kindly understand what she wants to tell. Acc to me, she checked the site and called IB.. The officials are saying result may come in March.
I too have called many times and every time I get some new information. The person on the other end said that the result will take one or two weeks.

dear aspirants your wait for the result can be much longer if election commission annouces poll dates and after implementation of model code of conduct no results of government jobs can be announced constitutionally enjoy…
Yes that is true..the Election Commission has already said that the Model code of conduct will come into force atleast 6 weeks before the first polling date…If the election is to begin in mid-April as speculated then Model code of conduct will be applicable from 1st week of March itself…Hope IB is keeping this in mind and is sincerely trying to publish our result
but during mcoc govt cant start new recruitment process but they can reveal the results of past recruitments specially interview results..as i knw there is no problem in publish the results..ha ye jrur ho skta h k they do not start joining process..
Yes Piyush I also got to know about that “Model code of conduct” issue from an acquaintance who is in Central govt job…I am sure that no new recruitment process can be started..even UPSC has postponed the 2014 CS Prelims to August due to this.However he was not clear that whether it is “strictly banned” to publish the result of past recruitment or they generally don’t do it.But I feel since IB remains at high alert during the elections to conduct peaceful polling it would be virtually impossible for IB to carry on with the pending recruitment process.It would be best for us if IB declares our result before EC announces the election dates.
MCOC is only applicable to new recruitment process, Not to previous recruitment process. otherwise NICL won’t have been conducting it’s interview in March and that too in delhi.
could somebody clarify whether acio-ii is equivalent to SI or Inspector of police. i have got both the answers from diff people.and no wikipedia ref please. if we could get the info frm someone already working in the ib it would be reliable.
See Abh I am not a central govt employee but the details of the post clearly suggest ACIO II is a post equivalent to SI in Police…..Inspector posts are Group ‘B’ posts with Grade Pay of Rs. 4600/- but this ACIO II/Exe is a Group ‘C’ post with Grade pay Rs.4200/-.{Now some exceptions do exist like Income Tax Inspector–Group ‘C’ post but GP Rs.4600/- or SI in CBI–Group ‘B’ post but GP Rs.4200/-}
study wikipedia well…there is clearly given that acio-ii is class B job equivalent to inspector of police….jst go through wikipedia in the intelligence bureau article,dont listen to peoplez assumptions.
junior intelligence officer grade 1 is equivalent to sub inspector of police…even that is grade b job….while junior intelligence grade 2,senior security assistant andsecurity assistant are grade c jobs…
ACIO-II/Exe is equivalent to S.I. I was selected in 85th batch (2011).
Bro why are you relying on Wikipedia when you already have the official ACIO Gr. II/Exe Recruitment Notice.It is clearly mentioned there that it is a Group ‘C’ post with GP 4200/-. Now one more detail to pay attention to…if ACIO II had been equivalent to Inspector..then with only 1 promotion an ACIO II would become a gazetted officer(Inspector after promotion becomes DSP…a gazetted post). But the case is not this…after 1 promotion an ACIO II becomes ACIO I(we all know it’s Non-gazetted..equivalent to inspector) and then with one more promotion he/she becomes a DCIO(Gazetted post..equivalent to DSP in Police)…Hence ACIO II must be a post equivalent to Sub-Inspector.

Next date of hearing is on 28th feb…Nitant’s lawyer wanted some time to file a reply..DoPT has already ordered SSC to conduct Tier1 and Tier2 re-exams in 7 cities where cheating was reported.Hopefully all the parties will accept these recommendations and this case will soon be over.

Yes this news is actually ridiculous…only eligibility and marks would be considered..no quota for states…if IB doesn’t find a single eligible aspirant in whole India they will quash the whole recruitment…they are not bound by any local MLA to select candidates from their constituency…just relax buddy
I don’t think there is any state quota system in IB, but they might get the benefit of coming from north eastern states. As they would easily get mixed up with local people and might prov more beneficial when compared to us (in terms of language, body language, body posture etc) in border areas (north eastern).

CGL2013 ka beda garat ho gaya.Now any further development in regard to CGL13 and 14 can only happen after elections.Today there was a hearing in CAT nothing happened .NDOH-18 March but again as Manmohan Singh says there is business as usual so be ready for a next date of hearing even on 18 march

I called them now. They told result will be put upafter elections. I called bangalore mha office. Why are they saying different things to different people?
I think IB official might not mention the exact date… coz they are intelligent after all :)
