Interviews will commence from January 13 to January 25, 2013. That means less time for celebration and more time for interview preparation.
What to prepare for interview?

Some tips (from those comments)
- 60% on your biodata. (Why do you want to join IB? Educational background, terminology, hobbies)
- 30% on current issue (mostly national and regional. + some current related to neighboring countries from IB/security/terrorism angle.)
- 10% intelligence system of India.
- If you are not fluent in English practice it, as sometimes panel member may insist that you answer a particular question in english.
- For some people it was for 5 mins and for some it went upto 20 mins.
- In the panel, one member will be observing you and taking notes.

Documents to bring in interview
- Original certificates in support of age, educational
- qualifications (Matriculation onwards including mark sheets), other qualifications along with an attested photocopy of each of the documents;
- Original certificate in support of belonging to
- OBC/SC/ST/Ex-serviceman/J&K resident category issued from the competent authority in the prescribed proforma along with an attested photocopy thereof;
- Original certificates in support of claimed achievements in Sports/Games and other extracurricular activities along with an attested photocopy of each of the documents.
- A photo identity proof like voter ID card, PAN card, passport, driving license or any other valid proof to verify his/her identity.
- Candidates belonging to OBC category and claiming benefits thereunder must bring their OBC certificate in the proforma meant for appointment to the posts under Government of India as published in the advertisement (copy enclosed) and not for State Government jobs. If they fail to do so, they will not be allowed to appear in the interview. Certificate in any other proforma will not be accepted in any case.
- One copy each of Attestation Forms (A.F.) and Special Security Questionnaire (SSQ) may also be downloaded which are required to be filled in by the candidate for carrying out Character & Antecedents verification wherever required. These forms may please be filled in for all the columns correctly and completely and in case the space provided in any of the column is not sufficient for furnishing the information sought, the candidate can utilize an extra sheet. This is, however, made clear that issuance and filling up of the attestation form (AF) and SSQ at this stage does not mean that the candidate has been or would be necessarily selected to the post of ACIO-II/Exe. The duly filled in AF and SSQ forms are required to be deposited by the candidate on the day of interview.
- The candidate is advised to bring this interview letter without which he/she would not be allowed entry. It may be made clear that no request for change of date and place would be entertained.

How quickly we Indians change our stance can be judge from this fact, earlier people were saying that because they were asked this question (DRIVING related…) they have a better chance in selection, now they are saying “because they were asked this question and they didn’t know it , their chances look bleak”. Ha Ha Ha….INDIA IS GREAT…………..This is why i love my nation.

Arfa I have already said that knowing how to drive is not a compulsory requirement but if you know how to drive then it would be a useful asset in this job.Each and every candidate was not asked about driving skill and I dont know why some of us were asked about it.Personally I think during training you would be taught about developing such skills..driving being one of the primary ones.

Bro I am not an Engineer.I have done B.Sc (Hons.) Physics in my graduation.They did ask some physics questions a couple of which I did not remember.I honestly told them that I dont remember its answers as of now and they just shook their head.

Its good to see your interview experience.
I asked because earlier I gave ARC (aviation research centre ) exam it was on technical ground and was direct rect. to Assistant Technical Offer ,although had written and interview due to large no. of application moreover grade A officer ,venue at DELHI on 14/07/13, but till now I don’t know whether its written results are published or not, (I feel only GOD and ARC knows whether the results are out, till now I haven’t met any selected candidate).
And now I am seeing delay in IB results, I really got fed up with these CLASSIFIED jobs, moreover you cant even file RTI regarding this matter to concerned authority.
About “Intelligence” if you read AJIT Dobhal (former IB chief) interview and speeches you will see how these jobs are politicised and different political parties are misusing it. Leave it, its not in or hand to control them….

Niranjan they do not put up a merit list so that you can get to know your rank.They just publish a list of ‘finally selected candidates.’The list will have various categories like sc,st,etc and the list of roll nos. selected under each category.You will never know your marks neither the cutoffs so no question of merit list.One more thing..the number ’34’ on your essay copy was your serial no.,not your marks.I mean u can score 34..even 44 but they never display the marks openly.On my essay sheet ’45’ was written and I was the 45th candidate to go in my batch of 50.They mention your serial no. because that essay sheet has to be sent to the interviewers.Your essay holds a lot of weightage.

Finally I had to call once again.I asked what are the chances of the result being declared on 20th March?He said not on 20th..its already mentioned on the site that it will be declared in the last week of March..24th se 29th March ke bich me site check karte rahiye.

Guys he said it is mentioned on the MHA website that result will be declared in the last week of March.Maine kafi time se MHA ki site check nhi ki thi to mujhe laga kuch lagaya hoga inhone..plz check the job employment section friends shayad kuch lagaya ho..waise usne bola to hai ki hopefully last week me de denge result.
Nothing is mentioned even in the job employment section also.
Now the only way to get the result in march is that at least 10 student call daily to mha helpline to inquire about the result otherwise they are not going to publish it in near future.so all of you plz make as much call to mha as possible.

There is no specific quota/min/max. selection for girls as such but IB encourages girls to compete.

what you are saying I can understand Kamran Bhai…. well I am going thru a lot of tension daily because of this and unable to concentrate on any other thing or apply for any other job as I have a lot of hope on this job….. anyway, the written result was supposed to be released by oct31st as said previously and got released around December31st…. am just hoping that as the interview schedule was over by jan 25th, the results may be released anyday starting from march25th – if going by that logic….
Why in hurry with final Result.. if you perform well both on written and interview…you are already selected. I should say better divert from result and concentrate for upcoming UPSC exams or other ssc or states exams.
Hkom..it’s very very difficult to detach yourself from something upon which your entire future depends.We are unemployed people from very humble backgrounds.Each passing day is like a test for us..a question mark on our utility and existence.Don’t take it personally bro but it’s easier said than done.And no matter how many exams you prepare for..the one with “result awaited” tag will always give you goosebumps and sleepless nights. :D
that’s rite Kamran bhai… am continuing in my current work place even if am underpaid and forced to work for more number of hours, is to achieve something meaningful and so that my conscience may be at rest for achieving something… each passing day – each passing hour is difficult to bear…. I cant put in words the pain and sacrifice I had to undergo just to prepare for this exam, attend the interview etc… hope everything would turn out for the best in the end for everyone… as they say, lets hope that our patience is amply rewarded and may we get relief…

Got a news…2012 ACIO candidates (Reserve List) verification going on..IB officers are going to their homes with AF and SSQ.Then police verification will also be conducted.The candidate whose verification took place asked about the time of joining…they said it should have been started in April but due to elections it will be postponed till June.They also said that verification of 2013 ACIO candidates will commence after their final result is published.Guys I think all this delay is solely due to elections plus the workload of 2012 Reserve list.

Verification is carried out only after results. Result ACIO 2012 training ke pehle ya baad aayega, nobody really knows.
Bhai tumne thoda confuse kar diya…dekho pehle 2012 Reserve list ka verification chal raha hai…may be last week of march tak over ho jaega…fir hamar(2013) ka result aa jaega.Hamara verification election ke baad hoga aur subsequently joining.
A gentleman on ACIO 2012 page said he received his joining letter yesterday and DOJ is 21st April.
I reckon this might be the last batch for guys selected in the first list. This should be followed by another batch from reserved list. If they call approx 75 more candidates then it will add another 2.5 months at least.
After that there are approx 75 more guys from ACIO WT/TECH waiting for there training which may take another 2.5 months to clear.
Considering all these facts I think IB has its hands full for next 5 months( wrt training at least). If this is the case then they may declare results as late as last week of MAY. IB would also be relatively free since Election would be over by that time.
So I think results may come anytime between today to last week of MAY.

Shinde is the worst home minister. MHA is literally sitting on all backlogs. Even CAPF which was held in October has not even released the list for interviews. All the later exams in November, December and Jan like Civils, IFoS, IBPS have declared the interviews/results.
If the results dont come by March end, nothing is gonna happen in April, May or June as there will be elections and poll code of conducts.
I agree with what the Home Secy who resigned recently said that “Shinde was the worst home minister ever and Chidambaram was 100 times better”.
