My heartfelt sympathies, but this is not “THE END” of life. Atleast now you’re not in limbo about the Mains-result…Now you can proceed with the next-plan you’ve for life and competitive exams. So make a resolute promise and devote your 2014 completely to achieve it. You’ve come this far- there is definitely to a decent career and life for you, Bas Ek baar man banaa lo—yaa toh mein iss paar, yaa uss paar ho jaaungaaa and let 2014 be that year. My prayers and best wishes have always been and shall always be –with every serious player.
@Those who cleared the mains-2013
Congratulations. Interviews likely to start from 7th April 2014 @UPSC headquarter in Delhi. You’ll get a call letter soon. UPSC will also update the timetable on its website.
In the meantime, start a Ph.D on your DAF form inside-out. Be it location based questions, or graduation based, or current or theory. Even wasting one minute is a sin.
Marksheets
UPSC will upload mark sheets of all candidates within 15 days after the declaration of final result i.e. after interview. The marksheets will stay there for 60 days. (and if last year’s system continues – then even candidates who failed in prelims, will be shown their prelim-scores and cut-offs.)
Call letters
- candidates who do not receive communication regarding their Personality Test, should immediately – contact the office of the Commission through letter or on Phone Nos. 011-23385271, 011-23381125, 011-23098543 or Fax No. 011-23387310, 011-23384472.
- No request for change in the date and time of the Personality Test intimated to the candidates will be entertained.

I cracked the civil services written exams, It was my the first attempt, but at the same time there is ssb interview on 23rd march, which will be the last interview of my ssb journey. Although i cracked the exams, and i am a little time to cope up with. To be honest i didn’t expect , but gone through. Thanks mrunal sir for your precious effort. I got benefitted a lot by your articles. i am going to give 100% in the interview

Help!!!!
This was my 4th attempt . I cleared for mains 3 times. In my first attempt at mains I failed in English. In my 2nd attempt i.e. last year I scored 467 something with 156 in GS 1+2, 104 in P.Ad 1+2, 144 in Psychology 1+2 and 63 in Essay .This time also i failed .I think its time to take a hint. Should I GIVE UP… i mean realistically. I am 28 years old . I have 2 attempt left(new changes). Some suggestion please….
dont give up mohit bhai. Am 31 year old it was my 7th attempt and last time i faced interview too but not this time. prepare well again hope for the best dont ever give up:)all the best god bless us
Bhati…. you should at-least get yourself with some kind of economic engagement …. getting a job is more important… ( assumption that your are full time preparing).
After all these years of serious attempt… as Mrunal says… you would need “maintenance period”… which i feel doesnt require..full time efforts….. get a job… unless your are from strong business family or any other thing.. which assures you economic engagement even after another 2 attempts ….
Secondly…. i cant say preparing with job would help clearing you the exam… but atleast it will make you realize 2 things…
1.) After 7-8hr of work… if you can still push your self for another 7-8 hours of serious study… “if this happens you know u are in really love with your aspiration… ( for other’s i don’t mean that full timers are not in love with the aspiration…. no logic’s please)
2.) You will learn Time Management… you will learn… how even “5-10Mins” are important.. which we hardly understand otherwise…
