UPSC has uploaded the halltickets for CSAT-2014. No change in exam date. It’s same 24th august 2014, Sunday. No change in exam structure- same two papers. No change in negative marking, same 33%.

- You’ve to tick OMR answers only in BLACK pen. Otherwise you paper will not will evaluated.
- I recommend you bring clipboard. Reason: Sarkaari colleges and highschools have benches have rough surface and holes. It’ll “injure” your OMR sheet while you’re marking answer in black pen.
- if you’ve applied twice, then Use HIGHER REGISTRATION number while downloading the hallticket.
- If your hallticket doesn’t have clear photo/signature, you will have to bring a photo identity proof viz. Adhar Card, Driving License, Passport, Voter I Card etc. and two passport size photographs one for each paper with an undertaking.
- Save your own hallticket PDF file in google drive. So there is no fear of misplacing/forgetting roll number.

The written test had been cancelled by ONGC and a notice says that the box of test material was tampered somewhere in Delhi and police enquiry is going on. But “in the interest of fair conduct of the examination”, the entire recruitment proceedings had been cancelled and the fees will be refunded.

those 8 questions of English comprehension which come before DM questions were the easiest questions of whole paper, which any one was able to solve , accha kaata hai govt ne aspirants ka, had the aspirants not made a big issue of hindi/english and had concentrated on translation issue ,which was seriously the genuine one, they would have got some respite but now the questions will appear with old method of translation only as the papers are already printed, sad end to whole drama this is.!!!!

Govt saya English marks will not be considered for cutoff in Paper-II. It means now we have test of 380 marks provided UPSC agrees to it. However, there has been no change to the aptitude section and there is a chance that the students from Hindi belt will once again start protests.
actually maths is the real fear for these so called protesters. Ab seedehe nahi bol paaye ki bhaiya maths na pad payenge hum. So took hide behind language issue hoping csat will be scrapped. They will be in a worse position now.

Guess, the government decision NOT to consider english comprehension marks has backfired on the face of Hindi medium goondas. They lost easy to get marks on these passages which are comparatively easy than quant and reasoning questions. Now the whole burden is on maths. Try to spit on the sky and the spit landed on their face. Isse achha hota ki CSAT ko scrap karne ka demand hin rakhte. Ise kehte hain….jo dusron ke liye kabr khodte hain usme khud hi gir jaate hain. Finally a decision has been taken and brought relief about the schedule. According to the protesters they are discriminated because of CSAT, which means all those who pass(discriminated candidates) prelims must qualify mains and so also interview, because there is no other hurdle, with full level playing, no statistics and most important they have to compete only dumb engineers who have passed only because of aptitude?
but this is not the case, because reasoning whether analytical or critical is there in every step! U cant write a good gs answer if u cant analyse critically.
so everybody should try to overcome her weakness by putting extra efforts,cz this Iis the need of the hour. Everybody doesnt get posted in UP or Bihar where a civil servant has to clean the shoes of the politician,there are states like Odisha or Gujarat or Andhra Pradesh where a civil servant is given so much of autonomy, respect and the like.

An IAS officer is supposed to deal with all sections of society , poor and rich alike. It is a very flawed argument that only those people who come from rural background can work for the upliftment of masses. To work for people and be successful, one needs compassion, commitment and capability.Taking to streets for protest against CSAT shows a defeatist attitude. How can the country and its people expect such people to work against all odds for the welfare of the country when they can not man up against the challenge faced by them. The exam demands basic skills which are necessary for the job of a civil servant.The protestors are embarrassed to accept they do not have the required reasoning and quant skills, and are hiding behind the issue of discrimination on the basis of language.

At least the govt is now taking a tough stand on not scrapping of the entire CSAT paper.. finally, I am feeling relieved that no more changes will be made in the preliminary exam… CSAT is a basic reasoning test based on a scientific pattern which is necessary to be present in a candidate aspiring to become an IAS officer…
And for all the pro hindi (pro goonda) political parties, there will never be a single vote from me in elections for you… ;)
These protesting humanities students think that scrapping csat will help them pass the exam definitely it will not help them. It will help only those who have money to pay to coaching factories for several years and mugup each subject and pass.

From next year (for CSE 2015) govt want to change prelims pattern. The first paper and second paper will be mixed with reduced weightage on aptitude ( numeracy, logical etc) and more emphasis on ethics and decision making part. Still the paper will be GS1 and GS2, but CSAT name will be removed to satisfy protesters. From 2015 question papers will be printed in all indian languages under 8th schedule of constitution. But English will be common and option will be given to select another medium for question paper selection..
Baba, provide source , other wise it will be like an another rumor.
And if they do some change in pattern still paper will publish only in two official language i.e English and Hindi.
Because inclusion of all language will lead to a disaster , coz after that in every exam candidate will start demanding for regional language.. like CAT, CLAT etc. so its not possible.

I really appreciate South Indian aspirants who writ this exam in English medium despite of their regional language education. No doubt, a rural student from a rural south Indian village reaches to top echelons in all fields on the basis of their hard work and intellect. They do no WHINE about their disadvantages unlike these North Indians (yes, UP and Bihar). UPs and Biharis do nothing in their life but migrate to Delhi and dream about getting into civil service and that to at cost of others and with easy option of rota subjects like humanities. Actually these UP and Biharis have no brains and gut but only BUTT to lick. I seriously pray to God and government to kick such aspirants out of the selection process. I hate caste-ism, regionalism but these anti-CSAT row is corroding my mind.
UPs and Biharis are good in only one thing….CRIME. Get a career in that. Civil Service is NOT FOR U.
