UPSC has uploaded the halltickets for CSAT-2014. No change in exam date. It’s same 24th august 2014, Sunday. No change in exam structure- same two papers. No change in negative marking, same 33%.

- any discrepancy in name, parent’s name, photo then send mail to web-upsc@nic.in
- You’ve to tick OMR answers only in BLACK pen. Otherwise you paper will not will evaluated.
- I recommend you bring clipboard. Reason: Sarkaari colleges and highschools have benches have rough surface and holes. It’ll “injure” your OMR sheet while you’re marking answer in black pen.
- if you’ve applied twice, then Use HIGHER REGISTRATION number while downloading the hallticket.
- If your hallticket doesn’t have clear photo/signature, you will have to bring a photo identity proof viz. Adhar Card, Driving License, Passport, Voter I Card etc. and two passport size photographs one for each paper with an undertaking.
- Save your own hallticket PDF file in google drive. So there is no fear of misplacing/forgetting roll number.

@Mansi…dont panic..this is the first sign of an administrator to remain calm in adverse situations and stay focussed..I reached till interview stage this year but missed final list by 3 marks ( 598+174 )…we all are perturbed but avoid distractions.this will only strengthen u for pre..

I am really annoyed i wasted my time n energy … and expecting something out of it…
Being sympathetic to someone & supporting their cause & followup on NewsChannel… & more importantly “expectation” from Govt & UPSC to do the right them. But i guess i was being sympathetic to them. I should have been rational to issue… and concentrated to revision.
Anyways.. 20 days more….. full on pressure, bole toh lagg gayi. But as it’s being said & felt …. “Best comes out ( from engineers) when they are under pressure”… ;-)

CSAT is discriminatory because paper 2 has become like a subject paper of past. Students from engineering and management background try to maximise their score in paper 2 and therefore doesnt concentrate much in paper 1. It doesnt mean that CSAT should be removed, bur their should be some changes to make level playing field. Kuchh log saale paper 2 mein 70-75 ques karte hain, gs mein 25-30.. Aur pass ho jate hai. Thats where it is unfair.

My GS paper 1 score in 2012- 78 (2nd rank score was 52 or 54), My gs paper 1 score in 2013- 86. My csat paper 2 score 102 (2012),this year 92. If i practice csat whole day, i know i will be left behind in current affairs, gs revision. When protest again csat started i felt by december i will be out of this tiny room and again go back to my normal life. I am 26 years old. I dont have a job. My degree is wasted(2007-2011). someone adviced me to join some computer course and you will get a job after that, a flash forward comes to my mind, in future i will be taking order from a guy who is living far away from reality. Then it comes to my mind, how about opening a rating agency or solicited idea firm or directing a sitcom or fight for right to personal liberty. I try to make impression on people because that is all left with me. These proceeding shattered my last hope. But again i think of thousand of students, returning home empty handed. some where in my mind i know i benefited somewhere but on another hand it is never going to turn into reality.

Hey deepali, I think i always did Indian economy part very well in examination. I dug certain topic to quite depth like basel norms applicable to nbfc or not. Income of indian working in american embassy in India will be counted in DI or NI. My point is I took coaching in 2011, and felt that no gs economy teacher goes in that depth whereas if you see capf 2014 paper, upsc is one step ahead. I am not sure of my teaching skills but yes i worked very hard on my notes. I am planning to give tutions for g.s mains economy with well standard answers. I already have huge stack of books covering my room both vertically and horizontally. In addition i want to join some political party so as to share knowledge as well as gain ethos n principle for better future. I salute from my heart all those protestors who equivocally raised demand of scrapping csat, they are labelled as less intelligent, politically motivated, coaching institute guys.. but i can challenge that. Ours were genuine grievances. The replies were condescending and humiliating.

1. all matters reltd 2 methods of recruitment 2 civil services n 4 civil posts
2. principles 2 b followed in making appointments 2 civil services n posts
supreme court held tht”acting wthout consultation of upsc dsnt invalidate the govt. decision.the provision is directory not mandatory”
so gvt hs evry rit 2 order upsc.
so, constitutionally, upsc hs no rit to do al ths drama-“m unhappy wth ur decision,i dnt lik it,i wl not yield,it’s my wish,meri marji nd all tht”.
Election के टाइम भाषण देना और सरकार के अंदर रेहकर काम करने में काफी फर्क है दीपाली मेडम। जब BJP opposition में थी तब बोलती थी की काला धन वापस लायेंगे, देश की सुरक्षा के लिया यह करेंगे, inflation कंट्रोल करेंगे etc और actual में क्या कर रहे हैं ? कॉंग्रेस के काम को ही आयेज बढ़ा रहे हैं। इसलिये केह्ता हूँ की गवर्नमेंट को कोसना छोड़ो और पढ़ाई करो। गवर्नमेंट अच्छी हो या बुरी, काम करना और रेहना इनके साथ ही है। अगर इतना है प्राब्लम है तो क्यों आँखों में तेल डाल-२ कर पढ़ाई कर रहे हो ? Foreign में जॉब ले लो और छोड़ तो कंट्री।
Deepali मेडम : एक suggestion है। Polity तो आपने पढ़ लिया but ठीक से लिखना सीख लो। Mains में अगर गलती से पहुंच गये तो यह SMS वाली language में answer लिख कर मत आना।
