Purpose of this page
- I see people keep posting doubts/queries regarding SSC 2014 hallticket, in recent articles. But their comments get scattered = less chances of getting help from others.
- Therefore, I’ve created this page. You may post your queries and help others solve their queries- regarding SSC CGL 2014 tier 1 exam. It’ll be held on 19th and 26th October.
- If any doubt on exam center address, please first search google maps, still no help then post doubt in comments below.
- This time also, SSC allotted random centres. Delhi candidates given hall tickets to Rajasthan center and so on. So, you may also coordination for lodging, accommodation, Vehicle pooling, joint-travel plans etc. in comments as well.

SSC hallticket “search” by name doesn’t work
on those official websites, if you try to search your registration id/roll number but if it doesn’t work then,
Enter 4 character or youur name without surname and DOB – it will work.
Bad Quality Photo/Signature
In case the scanned photograph(s) is not clear, invigilators are required to verify the identity of the Candidates with reference to the photo ID Proof and get colour photographs pasted on the Commission‘s copy of Admission Certificate and/or on Attendance Sheet as the case may be.
Accordingly, candidates should bring passport size colour photographs (two photographs for each session).
No entry without id-proofs
Candidates must carry at least one photo bearing IDENTITY PROOF in original such as Driving Licence, Voter Card, Aadhaar Card, Identity Card issued by University/College, Income Tax Pan Card to the examination center, failing which THEY SHALL NOT BE ALLOWED TO APPEAR FOR THE EXAMINATION.

Official Facebook Update: Call letters for CGL- 14 for NWR have been sent by post but due to holidays these may reach in next 3- 4 days. On website, these will be available within 2 days as we are resolving problem of shifting of candidates of 2- 3 centres.

Most bogus, because they’ve uploaded a very large PDF file of 5566 pages(!), very difficult to download on slow speed internet. and they claim to upload halltickets soon.

My IBPS and SSC CGL exams are on the same date (19th Oct) and at same time (1:30 pm onwards) in same city i.e. Lucknow.
Can SSC change my exam date or I have to choose 1 exam over another. Plz do reply, or anybody who has answer regarding this.
@Neha , u have to choose any one , so far I know ibps or ssc no one change exam date.

SSC is definately better than IBPS, but IBPS will give earlier joining than SSC. SSC may delay upto next year. So make a choice accordingly
No dear Neha…even if u are going for UN’s meeting as India’s PM or you are busy with India’s Mars mission as a senior scientist or u are busy in arresting Jayalalita as a senior police officer,,,,,ur any of the date is not going to change…

I have found roll no, admit card is not downloaded, shows invalid roll no, but not in reject list

Hi Mrunal Sir, I am SSC CGL 2014 aspirant.My case is similar to Abhishek Singh’s case.I also received confirmation on mail regarding successful submission of online application form.My name doesn’t exist in either provisionally accepted or rejected candidate’s list and finally no hall ticket.
I have mailed regional director of western region,raised query and called several times but none of the three given helpline no is functional and these people are not even replying on mail.
Kindly suggest what to do.

u dont need to know registration number for downloading admit card, there are 3 options, u can use 2nd or 3rd

Take auto from Railway station or roadways bus stand it will charge around 120-150 nd will drop you to your centre. One of the cheap option if u can get 19 no.minidor tempo.

checked on irctc site, only 1 train to chandrapur and that too waiting. Even for nearest nagpur station, trains are full. what to do ? tatkal is risky. anyone else having the same centre kindly reply to the post n share contact.

According to earlier notice CGL 2014 was scheduled in April-May,at that time I was opted for mumbai centre .But after downloading my admit card i found Chandrapur centre alloted to me.
Since my exam date is on 26th oct 2014 ,which is during festival season time and chandrapur is about 900 km from mumbai.
It is very difficult to attend the exam due to non availability of tickets .The examination is very important to me .
So I REQUEST you to please change my centre accordingly, preferably Nashik(7207) as it would be a great help and I can give my exam.

Let radius of whole ball (with gold covered outside) be x.
Volume of sphere is (4/3)*(pi)*(r^3)
Diameter of lead ball = 4cm
Radius = 2cm
Volume of lead ball = (4/3)*(pi)*(2^3)
Volume of whole ball = (4/3)*(pi)*(x^3)
Volume of gold = (4/3)*(pi)*(x^3) – (4/3)*(pi)*(2^3)
Equate Volume of lead ball with volume of gold.
(4/3)*(pi) will get cancelled and you will get the equation:
x^3 = 16
x ~ 2.518
Hence thickness of gold = 0.518 (approx.)
Sizes Illustration – O This is Gold , o This is Lead Ball ,
Volume of lead ball = 4/3πr3 ,Here r=2 , —— (1)
Volume of Gold Used = Volume of Ball Covered With Gold – Volume of Lead Ball —-(2)
= 4/3π (r+x)^3 – 4/3π (r)^3 , Here x is thickness.
Equation is 4/3πr^3 = 4/3π ( (r+x)^3 – (r)^3 )
Cancelling 4/3π both sides , putting r=2
8 = (2+x)^3 – 2^3
8=(2+x)^3 – 8
16 = (2+x)^3
2+x = 2.519
x=.519 , which is required thickness
