Prologue
- Intelligence Bureau (IB) had conducted written examination for requirement of Assistant central intelligence officer (ACIO) on 22nd February 2015.
- I’m preparing the topic wise ACIO Answerkey in four parts.
- First part: History and Polity MCQs.
- Since IB refuses to disclose answerkeys or cutoffs under right to information act (RTI), so not much point in wasting another 10 rupees into that. One exam is over then it’s time to prepare for another exam.

History Questions from ACIO-2015
- It seems the examiner great liking for NCERT Class 10 India and Contemporary world – atleast 4 questions directly from it. (Trade unions, printing press, censorship and PremChand novel launch year.)
- By and large- Modern India (Freedom struggle) portion easy, but Ancient and World history portion tough- because trivial GK type questions asked. Similar trend observed in previous examination held in 2013.
- Strategy for future ACIO exam: For History portion, the base material should be LucentGK AND NCERTs. Although not much point in dwelling into world history given its bad cost:benefit.
- And if you’re simultaneously preparing for UPSC, then skip the freedom struggle part from Lucent, directly prepare it from Spectrum’s Brief History of Modern India by Rajiv Ahir.

Hello Mrunal Sir and Friends. I did a blunder in 22nd feb exam, instead of DOB i put exam date at the required space in OMR, although i made required correction scratching up the columns but not hopefull, is there any chance the scanner may accept it. PS. it was my 3rd attempt and have also given interview for 2013 :P please clear my doubts..thow some light plz.
Sorry bro !! There were very less chances to bounce back , because they mostly rely on omr scanners rather than manual work. . Lot of applicants = less time = more number of students attempted exam = less number of evaluators = use of machines instead of human( ergonomics) which judges our fate . Lets be +ve bro , wait till results , dont panic. All the best !!
” DONT LOSE HOPE , YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT TOMORROW WILL BRING “

Question # 90: The question asks who among the following can “participate” in the debates of Loksabha…..Answer should be “None of the above” because Attorney General of India can only sit in Loksabha during the sessions…can not participate in the debates or other proceedings.
I may be completely wrong but this is just to clarify my doubt.
the question of kesavnandbharti case .. the same has written on the minerva mills case wiki (promulgates the basic structure of indian constitution) , in my opinion both these options are correct .. pls look on it and reply !
