- Warning: READ The NOTIFICATION thoroughly before applying. Otherwise you’ll face many problems during tier-2 and interview stage e.g. you’re not eligible for xyz post because of education /medical and so on.
- New post added: Sub inspector in National investigation agency (NIA) Group “B”
- Education: Candidate must have completed their education on or before 1st August 2015.
- Age: to be counted on 1st August of the given year. (refer to table given on page1, for minimum age limit for each post and rule 5(A) on page 5.

OBC certificate
Certificates obtained in any other format will not be accepted. OBC certificate in the prescribed format issued between 02.06.2012 and upto 29.11.2015, only will be accepted.

Post preference
Revised options for posts will not be taken at the time of document verification. The options exercised in the application form are final.(page – 19 of official notification) The candidate is required to indicate his Posts-wise preference very carefully. He/She would not be considered for any post, if he/she has not indicated his preference for such posts. Option once exercised in the application is final and therefore, candidates are advised to be careful in exercise of option for posts.

Height For men – 170 cms (usually it is 165 cm in police jobs)

Ties cases will be resolved by applying one after another, as applicable till the Tie is resolved.
- Total marks in the written examination and Interview, wherever, applicable.
- Total marks of Tier-II Examination.
- Total marks in Tier-I Examination.
- (iv)Date of Birth, with older candidate placed higher.
- Alphabetical order in which the first names of the candidates appear.

SCC CGL2015 papers will be leaked as always happen..and this time there will be more corruptn and nepotisn than previous years..No matter how hard u prepare..u can nevr match the marks people obtain from ‘answer keys’..like 520,55 etc..so if u wanna get this job through hard work..than compel SSC to conduct online exams..othrwise keep on dreaming

Sir. I was looking for some information on Medical Test for CGL posts. i.e, for the posts like inspectors. Actually i met and accident in 2008 and i got fracture in my hand. it was operated and then doctors put implants (rod) in my hand. so this will cause any problem in medical test?
i do my daily works ..sports and everything perfectly.. it will only be visible in xray of my hand.
Do i meet the physical standards?

Preference code in form is blank. same was the case with me, so i downloaded the complete notification and found out the codes in it. You can use the same procedure.

Is there any minimum weight requirement for male candidates for the post of income tax inspector and cbi sub-inspector.
The notification did not mention any. Does this mean that there is no minimum weight requirement. Or that weight must be proportional to height.
My height is 180 cm and my weight is 52 kg. Am I eligible for the two posts mentioned above.
I would be grateful if anyone can shed some light on this.

Ref SSC-CGL Notification 2015 Age Criteria and Educational Qualification(Why lower age limit)
Essential Qualifications as on 1st August, 2015:
i) Compiler : Bachelors Degree from any recognized University with Economics or Statistics
or Mathematics as compulsory or Elective subject.
ii) Statistical Investigator Grade II Bachelors Degree in any subject from a
recognized University or Institute with at least 60% in Mathematics at 12th standard
level:
OR
Bachelors Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree
level.
iii) All other Posts: Bachelors Degree from a recognized University or equivalent.
(a)So the question here is as to why the starting age limit is set 18 instead of 21-30 age group as most of the graduation candidate attain their graduation at 21/22(So how a graduate can be aged 18 years only) and sometimes later with Engineering degree being 4 years course.
(b) Also this year ,2015 age limit/education qualification is calculated as on 1st august 2015 (instead of previous years as on 1st JAN2014,2013) and thereby making many ineligible to apply for the said posts and exam
Note: Please cascade among different departments as necessary.
Reply :- Age limits are laid in the REcrcuitment Rules (RRs) of different posts framed by the departments and not by SSC hence SSC has no role to play in this. DOPT has written to different departments for amendment of RRs.
Age limit as been fixed as per guidelines laid down by DOPT.
