UPSC is yet to divulge information related to cutoff marks and official answerkey but hope it’ll happen soon because the exam process is finally over so RTI-stonewalling unlikely to work.

how to get the roll no. ?
Can any one let me know that no of attempts have been increased from 4 and 7 to 6 and 9 for Gen and OBC respectively for upto this year only or it will be permanent ? I mean this is on account of pattern change in CSE 2011 and after this year no of attempt will be again 4/7 for Gen/OBC. Have any idea ??? Plz

Got 187 , 94 in paper 1 and 93 in paper 2……..hopeless score as i belong to general category . It was my ist attempt. I have not studied much till now. Any suggestions, whether i should appear for 2015 CSAT or just concentrate on 2016. Thanks in advance.

Prelims – 214 Qualified( general).. mains 544 ( did’nt qualify for interview)…Got butchered in 3 gs papers and optional one… rest is pretty ok….100 in ethics… 125+ in essay….
Essentially means that no amount of preparation is good enough for GS 1 to 3. Paper 4 has been sorted out my most of the candidates…..
Guys…need a suggestion. I cleared this years Civil services (fourth attempt) but rank is bad..around 11xx. I want IFS(Foreign). But, for certain reasons, I stopped preparation since Jan 2015 and therefore not ready to appear this years prelims.
What do you suggest guys, shall I drop this year, prepare with full zeal and re-appear next year ?
Why take chances, prepare well for 2016 and join whatever service you get . Form a group with ur collegues there and crack it next time with flying colours. This is a time tested stratergie for rank improvement. Gud luck. BTW I m just a rookie .

Her mains written marks is 920 .She has taken edge on others in mains written by huge amount.
2011 All india rank 2nd rukhmani riar also had the similar marksheets.Her prelims score was 198 (cutoff was 198) & she got all india rank 2nd.
It clearly connotes that prelims & mains are entirely different.
If she had done one more wrong answer in prelims then she was out of the game.So we can say that Civil services exam is a combination of labour & luck.Labour alone can’t help us & luck is not in our hands.So we can do more labour to eliminate the need of luck.

What it seems, the cut in mains for General Categories have been around 680s and for OBC must have been around 630s…
