govt. Of india act no doubt created dyarchy in provinces and subjects were divided into transferred and reserved but the catch is this division was by delegation not devolution and viceroy had veto even on transferred su jects .hence there was virtually no jurisdiction of provinces. Also focus on the word. CLear in the ques. Jurisdiction is one which cannot be normally infringed with few exceptions. Here everything was unitary and real jurisdiction came by 35 act.nationalists later felt befooled and demanded a commission for review which later became simon comm.

you are 95 percent safe. but every single hour you spend in thinking about cut off dents your chance to clear mains :)

I have a doubt on cabinet mission.Cabinet mission suggested a weak three tier confederation.It is given the same in NCERT AND Wikipedia too.But the option is given is federal.There is lot of difference between federation and confederation.In that sense,the answer should be none.Please comment on this.

confederation and federation are two different things.answer for this is none.confederation means an alliance of states or groups while in federation states are united under a central authority.EVEN in NCERT they have just written PROPOSAL OF FEDERAL PLAN.SO ANSWER IS NONE.

Lol at your delusion. It is a cut off which means some people will be cut off. Every Chunnu Munnu is getting more than 80. The Cut off will be around 105-110. Mark this thread, we will meet again in Oct after which we will have an idea about the tentative cut off.
Hey Jashan, I wouldnt have written anything on this thread but for your mockery of abhi’s comment. I haven’t met anyone who is crossing hundred. There were people crossing hundred before meeting me, but there scores dropped drastically when we discussed answers. Let Mrunal come up with explanations, but atleast 7 questions might still remain unexplained. I will surely mark this thread :). My prediction of tentative cut-off is way below yours. I’ll go with abhi’s or even less than that.

Hey Pvrat, the cut off has been 100+ for sure. It is as high as 103-105 based on trends. Don’t underestimate the power of aspirants
Bro its upsc after results are out every 120 scorer will come down to 105s and hence cutoff can be >90….my guess u may also be correct but at this imp point we all should focus on mains study only…….
Yes every 120’s person came down to 105 or something, which still tells us that most good scorers are 100+ buddy. There are not even handful aspirants I know who go below 100. So still predicting 85 or 90 cut off is criminal. If anyone says to me 105 cut off is high, 100 will be the cut off, I will say yes, it may be possible but 85 or 90 never.

Well Jashan, I am surprised to see someone preparing for civils making fuss over such a petty issue. Several candidates must have read abhi’s comment…nobody made a mockery of it. If this indeed reflects your attitude, i feel so sorry that you dont have the patience and humility to respect someone’s opinion. Nobody has said that your score is as less as 80. But that doesn’t give you the liberty to comment in this way…atleast not in a forum like this….
And yes…by the way, dont think that i am preaching you here. Its bcoz’ I have attended civil service interview board thrice…and I know what qualities they search for….and am sure…not atleast this sort of attitude.
@Thevet:- Nobody made a mockery. When you see something preaching something wrong, the ability to stand for the right is also one of the property required. If someone said cut off will be 95, that is right to disagree, but saying it will be 85 when it is actually turning out to be 105 is playing with the feeling of thousands of aspirants. Well I surely have attended less interviews than you and taking your experience will consider if what I wrote was making a mockery which presently I dont think so especially after the cut off has crossed 100

If you do not agree. Atleast provide a valid proof to your argument. I gave you wikipedia’s link as well as a link to well known famous foreign author book. You cannot assume a theory of your own just because you marked something and not willng to admit that it could be wrong.
All the above discussions give a very clear message that coaching centers do no have a valid, acceptable, and correct Key to the civil service preliminary questions. The answer keys differ from coaching center to coaching center leaving there a question on their capacity to coach or prepare the candidates to this most prestigious examination. The simplest reasoning is, when they do not know the answer, how can they prepare you to answer? Therefore, please do not fall into the trap of any coaching center. Put your efforts sincerely, and you will get it, and do not forget, in competitive examinations, your success is someone’s failure and vice versa.

I belong to OBC non creamy layer. During registration i put the date of community certificate 2011. Now the concern is, will it make me ineligible for OBC non creamy layer benefit in Pre? Kindly comment only if you guys have the concrete answer. Thank you!
No one checks the details before the prelims results are declared…..so you will be assumed to be a OBC candidate……..after the prelims result,all the details will be scrutinised and letters will be sent to the concerned candidates.At that point of time you can clarify the issue.
Generally OBC certificate is renewed every year depending upon ur family income. So I think it should have been at least for 2014. Donno about the prelims, but if it comes to mains and interview UPSC is bit relaxed and might give u some tym to produce a new certificate. It happened with me.
dont worry me to belongs same catogery,at the time of interview u can show yr new obc non creamy certificate plz make yr central and state certificate after the mains examination.
it is not a problem..the only condition for applying is that the date in community certificate should be earlier than july 19 2015 (cut off date for closing of prelims application….
refer notification ” They should also be in possession of all the requisite certificates in the prescribed format in support of their claim as stipulated in the Rules/ Notice for such benefits, and these certificates should be dated earlier than the due date (closing date) of the application for Civil Services (Prelims) Examination, 2015″
but u r certificate is outdated…so if u are selected for mains, u can still apply with the old certificate but they will ask u for new updated one
