Have doubt on currency convertability,,,I guess answer should be ‘b’.But all keys suggesting ‘c’.
the emphasis should be on the market or controlled rather than freely permitting conversion or not.
Ncert 11 class book suggests convertability to both gold and other currency.In such case option ‘a’,may also be correct..
Please clarify my doubt

Accept it or not, the level of civil service has been going down — even becoming similar to state PSCs . It was best for three years — 11,12 and 13 and then it became like rote learning , facts etc. Even arts and culture was way better for three mentioned years. Asking reason and analysis should be the basis for any exam.

Applied for both IFoS and civil services. Optional-zoology (botany too for IFoS)

Venus u r sure shot clearing the exam. For GS do not rely on any particular academy. just stick to the syllabus and newspapers, few magazines (with selected topics only).Try to give as many tests for MAINS as possible just to make speed and writing suitable answers. For GS u may go to VISION but for GS-4 (Ethics) also refer SYNERGY (M.K. Mohanty), c y a . good luck

Yes … I checked .. There are around 4 or 5 outright wrong answers provided by SSC for 9th August 2015 Morning Slot. I have already challenged those answers in the prescribed format provided by the Commission. I suggest you do the same.
hello..i also gave ssc on 9th morning…..in one of the gs section,a question has been asked where the sink whole will be found found? as per ansewer key,it is desert topography……but sink hole are found in karst(region) topography (savindra singh)

@ please help me : a bit of advise from me – Don’t worry. I have seen similar story in my family. We r also from a middle class family. My younger sister completed her M Sc in 2010. In 2011 she could somehow convince us to prepare for Civil. Parents were reluctant at beginning. She was also given a two year target. Could not clear pre in 1st 2 attempts. Huge pressure (just like you). She was also hopeless. Still kept working hard. Finally in nex attempt not only pre, she cleared all steps i.e finally recommended and is now IRTS probationer. Is’nt your story similar, so don’t give up. Identify your weak areas – improve them, identify your strong areas – polish them, take guidance from right people, you may succeed. And the same oarents & family who are mounting pressure will feel proud of you, like my parents who are more proud of their daughter than the two sons. All the best.
