When most says x., cut off will be a few marks below it. For general 85to 90 seems to be a good score…

cutoff should be 85 for gen,80 for obc and 70 for sc….sure
Rajesh I hope you are correct. from 2011 to 2014 never cut off gone beyond 85-90 as every time 99% of mains candidates scored 110-120 in CASAT 2 ..Cut off will be as below : Gen 80-90
OBC 75-80
SC/ST 65-70
PH 50-60

For that tax to gdp ratio question, there is analysis in economic survey book1, pg no 20 right para graph, he mentioned the relationship between growth to tax gdp ratio, accordingly the first statement should be correct.

Dear friends i think cut of this year would be around 90 marks for general but no beyond that ! My prediction are based on two assumptions ! 1 this year number of candidate apply and number of apeared are close to same of last year where cut of was 205,around 51% . So when it 51% with csat how it could be the same this year with gs only because everyone knew the score diffrence between csat and gs so it will be far below last year may be around 90 2. In last three year cut off for capf paper 1 not gone beyond 43 % so if less number of candidate appeared for capf compare to cse that there are also less number of candidate qualify the written and even we all know that capf paper is not as hard as of cse morever most of the candidate trying for capf are also preparing of ias so whene it not beyond 43 % than how cse 2015 cut could be above 45 % .
this is what i’ve been telling people because csat was not so trivial that the score can be halved to arrive at the cut-off…It is really difficult to gauge the threshold this time…. But a few things that merit attention are:
a) no csat so 120 can be safely deducted from 220 (if we consider a safe score with csat; barring 2013)
b) with gs only where there are some inferred answers and subjective answers as well it is difficult to cross the 100 mark.
c) till 2010 a score of 55/150 in gs was considered a good score in gs. However, now people focus only on gs so if draw parallels then add another 10-15 to 55 which means 65-70 and 65-70/150 is 88-92/200.
I, therefore, think the cut off should hover around 90 +/-5. In the worst case it may reach 100. On the lower side, however, it can fall down to 85 as well. So anyone between 85-95 should not lose hope. 100 wala to surely in hai…. Itne saare debatable questions ke beech mein, upsc ki keys ke hisaab se 90+ would be enough I think

Yes quite right because people in 2011 got qualified 164+34 34 in gs , in csat people get more than 70% , question of gs was lke spinn bowling, certaily it goes 70 to 75

dugong is “marine herbivorous mammal” , where as it was written “marine hebivorous animal” in option “a” . there is difference between mammal and animal. mammal forms a subset of animal. as in, not all animals are mammals, mammals don’t have back bone blah blah.. so i presume “a ” will not be included in that answer. anyone out there , if can throw some light , it will be really kind .

friends, in 2011 i gave an attempt, but while applying for csat 2015 i mentioned “NOT attempted” in 2011. does they provide extra attempt for all those who gave prelims in 2011 or only for last attempters. please clarify my doubt.. many of my friends have similar doubt
