Options in Paper 1 seem very ambiguous. Worried about the score as i am not getting clear cut keys. Can anyone advise which key answers are reliable.

Tax gdp ratio…. both correct, lower groth rate and unequal d money istribution
unequal distribution of income is okey but about the first statement iam not convinced yet
Consider this case—> the lower income groups start producing more and increase the gdp…but since they are exempted from being in the lower income groups… tax collection may not increase inspite of them contributing in higher gdp… but since their income has also increased….income distribution has become more equitable… then how can we say that 2 is correct……I don’t know where I am lacking to identify the caveat…. but yes ur suggestions are welcomed if they help us to brush up our concepts

I wud advice u all to first analyse GS2 exam. coz this will eliminate many centurians of GS1.
If a centurion in paper 1 is not able to score 66 in paper 2 then in all probability is his saving his face by lying
i agree.. that’s wat i intended to draw attention to. aspirants stating attempted less than 40% in GS2 n above 60% in GS1. sounds bit ambiguous to me. but anyways dnt be into this cut off thing n start for a new journey of mains all of u.
Accornding to last 3 year…. this paper was very good, not sense of easy difficult or prediction,… (this point may be right)… top class, cutoff may occurs 105 to 110 , I thing not very flactuate … in the exam hall n solving time in home, very differnt… it just play your knowledge. Reading habits,

paper was easier for people who focused on current news also.

i knew babur got canons and how will canons be possible without gunpowder.

I agree with kunal. U see speculation is mother of all evil. Like last year when the speculation was around 220-230, had that been the case many toppers like umesh N.S.K , c.saikant verma who were bordering 230 and around ( read from mrunalji’s blog) wouldnt have made it. Also there are many people who just managed to qualify prelims and went on to get good rank in civil services. I guess 90+ marks is good score and students getting above it should start preparing for the mains
Well guys, after checking, cross-checking multiple answer keys, revalidating – my score is coming up 105.95 subject to correctness of the following 4 questions:
1. PRI – chosen option a.
2. Cong Socialist Party – chosen option d [none]
3. Feudal System – chosen option b
4. Westerlies – chosen option c [both] [Now this is a typo for sure. those who chose option b is correct – not sure what is UPSC stance]
If ans to last question is b, then my score goes down to 103.28.
Am pretty confident that CSP and Feudal ans are correct. Doubt with PRI question. If it goes wrong then my score will further go down to 100.61.
It will not go down below 100.61 under any circumstance. Am confident of that. Now being a Gen Cat should – should I prepare for mains? this has been my first serious attempt [2 attempts in all including last yr] and probably my last if UPSC reduces age limit back to 30 next year onwards.

@ Kunal, best advice bro. Someone has Commented above that rajinder nagar Wallas have predicted cut off to be 120-130.
I have got friends Studying in two of the most famous delhi Coaching Centres and no one has made such predictions til now to the best of my knowledge.
in Case of the category wise cut off difference b/w obc and general last year, it was due to the jat reservation problem. its evident from the final allotment list, in which OBC candidates have made considerable gain compared to previous years. So i expect the difference this time to be 5 or 6.i myself am an obc candidate and is getting 99-101.iwon’t be listening to the cutoff predictons, even if made by mrunal, and will start Preparing for mains.

I’m regretting my silly mistakes.. H1N1 ko bird flue kar ke agaya..an many silly ones… 100 in obc… pata nahin chances hain bhi ya nahin… but thoda tayari toh karna hi hoga..agar ho gaya toh
Questions were very tempting this time. I attempted only 68 questions. I am getting 95 – 105 according to different keys available. Lets hope for the best guys.
