in an unprecedented display of efficiency and transparency, just a day after UPSC declared the final result of Civil services exam 2015, now they’ve uploaded the cutoff marks as well.
Prelim Paper-II marks were not counted in Mains-selection.
In the Civil Services Examination, 2015 the minimum qualifying standards (marks)/marks secured by the last recommended candidate in various categories at various stages are as under:

M losing faith in things, how can I get worse even though I worked much harder fr 2015.
SIR,pls kindly mention books for GS Paper 1,2,3,4 (mains)..
Could not qualify the civil services prelims 2015. Got 106 in gs-1 but when checked my answers according to the upsc answer key ,I got 56answers right that means 112 marks.I m damn sure that I filled my omr sheet correctly.Going to get the information through RTI.

There is negative marking also. Plz deduct marks for wrong answers.
sir, I have scored 137.69 in upsc civil services preliminary exam 2015 but not qualified for main examination.marks in paper 1&2 are 69.34 and 68.35 respectively.What’s minimum qualifing marks in paper 1&2.
Only paper 1 counts for selection,paper two is optional. You only have 69.34 in paper one,thats why you didnt qualified for mains.
I have only my registration number and forgot my roll number. How can I check my civil services prelims marks.
What is the maximum number of attempts for a person who is OBC with PH?

got 106.66 marks. could ur luck get any harder..
a cut off of 107 (General) in GS 1 indicates that one will have to prepare really well for prelims as it is never easy to get above 50% in GS with negative marking..Topper tina dabi herself just managed to clear prelims in SC category by 1 mark..competition is also increasing every year so one can expect a cut off of 105-115 for general cat in 2016 also irrespective of the difficulty of paper..prelims has indeed become the most imp part of the whole process of CSE..all the best to all of you friends..study hard and get through

mine total no in pre was 144.66 this time…i got 39.5 marks in paper 1 and 105 marks in paper 2…i belongs to obc so why i am not qalified instead of cut off is only 106
