chalo answr key se mila lo jaakr phle … xam dene k baad sbko aisa hi lgta h :P
Official answer key nikalne do pehle …usse mila k hi pata chalega , asal me kiske kitne marks aye he …fir usi hisab se “top tier posts” k sapne dekhna …:)
is there really any need to check answer keys? i mean maths n reasoning to easily pata chal jata hai sahi kya hai aur galat kya. Even in GK n Eng i marked only those which i was 100% sure about n didn’t attempt the rest. Expecting

Sir
I hope my question will not open a stupid discussion session. Just want to know whether SSC uses Normalization / Equalization method or not?
Never..
No they don’t:(
ATTENTION — CGL 2014 MORNING SHIFT CANDIDATES those who are interested and really want the Equating (or NORMALIZATION) process done which will increase their marks are requested to provide their inputs/ suggestions. This is the injustice done to us. When one mark is enough to decrease the ranking in hundreds why we should suffer 15-20 marks.
Various steps which we can do to make this right are…..

GRIEVANCE to be send to DEPARTMENT OF PERSONNEL AND TRAINING
GRIVANCE DESCRIPTION:— Request to start Normalization process in SSC CGL Exams so that injustice is not done to any of the candidate. SSC conducts exams in different sessions and the difficulty level of sessions varies to a much extent. Equal justice should be done to every candidate and therefore Normalization process MUST be followed.
This was my grievance text with P&T dept.
“SSC CGL 2014 exam was conducted on 19-10-2014 and 26-10-2014 in four sessions. The question papers were different for each session. It was observed that there is a considerable difference in the difficulty level of questions for the 19th morning session paper and remaining papers.
This not just my opinion, most of the people that took the exam felt this way going by the discussions on social media.
SSC will know the truth if they could evaluate each session separately.
To give equal chance to all the aspirants, SSC may kindly introduce ‘Scaling factor / normalization’ i.e evaluate each session separately and work out a scaling factor based on the highest marks scored in each session.
This is not difficult or time consuming as the evaluations are done by the computers.
Thank You “
This is my grievance text to DOPT:-
“This is in reference to the SSC-CGL 2014 examination which was conducted on 19 and 26 oct.
There was a huge disparity in the difficulty level of the question papers of 19 oct morning session compared to 19 oct evening session and 26 oct both morning and evening sessions. This amounts to gross injustice to the candidates who appeared in 19 october morning session.
It is thus requested to you to take necessary action regarding this issue so which may be scaling, normalization of marks or simply treating the tier-1 exam as the screening exam and not counting its marks in overall merit list.
It concerns the future of students who have invested time and effort for preparation of this exam and such injustice is not what they deserve. All the students will be highly obliged if you take into consideration the mentioned issue and do something needful.”
Please all candidates fill your grievance, so that atleast the issue is highlighted-
Both at

as well as to the regional director of ssc-central region.
@ Anshuman Sir – In my opinion you are very right sir, such a discussion never gets to see the light at the end of the day.. Firstly after seeing the morning session question paper conducted on the 19th…i presumed that SSC has enhanced the level of its questions…the evening session was slightly easier..still i thought its a part of the game…But after seeing the question papers of morning and evening sessions of the 26th (especially the evening session)..i am appalled…any sane person can observe the difference between the quantitative aptitude and general awareness questions asked in the morning session (19th) and all other sessions…It would be very nice if the luminaries on this forum like Chandra Deo Sir and others to comment on this anomaly (given the fact that Mrunal sir never reply to such questions which is understandable) as to whether my apprehension has some ground or if its misplaced
@Arun Sir- I am also planning to voice my grievance with the SSC…But as much as i don’t want to write this…the fact is they would just sit over it and do absolutely nothing about it…Moreover we understand that differential treatment was meted out to the candidates but on what concrete ground we can prove the above said thing to the SSC…Everybody knows what difference does a few marks can make in this examination…and such callousness by the Commission is unaaceptable…
I was waiting for today’s exam (26th october) so that i can make a fair comparison…which i did and reached to the abovesaid conclusion.. Now i will be mailing the SSC about this discrepancy very soon and urge all candidates who took the examination on the 19th (morning session) to do the same
Therefore, i request you Arun sir and others to share some relevant points that can be mailed to the Commission which would help to prove ourselves right…Let’s do our bit without worrying too much about the fact that whether we would be heard or not with due diligence
Pour in your suggestions as soon as possible as the result is generally out within 35-40 days of the examination.

either ssc is damm serious about economy talent in aspirants or they are just randomly putting questions. they are obsessed with laws which i bet every economics grad has to again go through books to answer. not to forget few questions are debatable too cos of options provided. anyways guys this is my 4th diwali inside a small room, hope to celebrate it huge next year (I probably disclosed it first time). Happy diwali mrunal, fellow aspirants, everyone who read this (I guess probably audience of 70 thousand :P ) . One more thing , i watched an interview in morning on ndtv , the great person name is “Savji dholakia” . My god, a person who studied till 4th grade but have business ideas which makes his co. global . his co’s employee are getting cars, flat this diwali . those who were crying after failing in prelims watch his interview especially, huge beam of inspiration . btw my answer writing is getting worse as i can comprehend from this comment .
Some random question doesn’t determine your failure. As I can infer from your conments, you have become pessimist because of certain phases. You are questioning about your own capacity that’s the reason for your negativity about SSC. No offense, but you lack in your plans for reading. My suggestion is to you, please take your time and analyse before indulging yourself in random reading. See if you read 10 hours a day randomly, will not take you anywhere rather than read for five hour but goal centric .You are capable to shoot the bird dude, just fix the focus first.

thanq very much mrunal sir…and wish you happy DIWALI…..
What are the chances of questions getting repeated from these papers on 26th. And my God, G.K questions are damn tough. Civil Services prelims was nothing.
Odds of questions getting repeated are nil. However they do give you a basic idea about the proportion of questions asked from each section..
mrunal sir saare sets mein ek jese questions hai kya ? i mean bas sections aagey peenche hai ya fiir
har sets hain alag alag question hai ??
agar sab same hain toh sirf ek hi set download kiya jaye….. agar alag alaga hai toh saaare set dwnload kiya jaye ?
Alag alag aate hain hero. Baaki inko download karke padh le toh jyaada faayda hoga inspite of asking others! :P
@Ashish
usually in 2-3 sets the questions are common but order is changed. Easiest way to find out the common sets, is by checking their data interpretation graph.
What will be cut off?hope it will be less as compared to cgl 2013..

THANK YOU SIR
Happy Diwali 2 all
Can anybody tell me what will be the expected cut off this year? I attempted 126 – out of with I guess I will get around 115. Will there be any chance to clear?
Wish U a very HAPPIEE Deepawali Sir :) :)
hi i got 111 score in ssc tier 1 iam OBC CATAGERY willi qualify for tier 2
no
Hi guys, Happy diwali to you all. I have a few doubts , plz help.
1) I wanted assistant type of service, so i marked them as top choices. Due to CPT, i left cs 1stss assistant and filled CVC, IB n Railway assistant as 1st, 2nd and 3rd choices. Are these posts good? Are CVC, IB n Railway assistants non transferable?
2) My tier 1 exam was good, on expected lines n i expect 145 score. To get group b posts, what shud i do now? how much to score in tier 2?
3)when will tier 2 exam be held? (likely to be)
Start preparing for tier-2..you’ve good chances…you have to get above 250 in tier-2 to get group B post
Hi Akul! you mean 400 in tier 1 n tier 2 together is sufficient for cvc, ib or railway? Is the level of questions of maths n english the same for tier 1 n tier2 ? how to prepare?
145 is humongous !!!
One of my friend who scored 99.92%’ile in CAT’13 is getting 142 in TIER-1….
145 is an amazing performance dude….you just need to pass sectional cut off in TIER-2 to get job of YOUR choice…!
1st of all bro..CVC has really low vacancies in CGL so if u r going for that..need to score atleast 500+(t1+t2)..next IB involves too many transfers..& not at all home state in 1st posting(though u might get home state in subsequent years)..and Rail is good..I mean around average vacancies..& might home state too.,…
Dude, have u rlly hrd nybdy getting 500+ in T1+T2 ?? n morover …MEA and CSS r the most sought-after jobs in CGL,yes..CVC also comes in top categories…bt given d fact dat sm1 scoring 500+ in negative markings exam is way 2 much…a decent score of near 455-465 and a gud interview can ensure an aspirant of MEA even..lest 2 wrry abt CVCs n all..
500 in tier + tier 2 is required for cvc, ib or railway asst? it seems implausible. Anyways, i wanted some non transferable n not-so-hectic job , but had not much idea about various deptmt then. I left css due to CPT, which i regret now (heard that CPT is not such an issue n it’s the css which has max vacancy n greater promotion opportunities). plz confirm this.
My preference is CVC, IB, RAILWAY, EXT AFFAIRS, OTHER MINISTRIES in this order.
i meant i left css asst due to CPT, a decision that i regret now.
What will be the cut off for this year? My score should be 110+ just. Will that be enough? Please tell. I heard that this year paper is easier than the that of 2013 Re-exam and thus cut off is expected to rise. Is it true? Though I found Reasoning and GK part tougher than 2013.
sir please guide me which job is better for an introvert person sbi po or ssc cgl or rbi assistant ?
Hello Everybody,
Happy Diwali to all and Mrunal Sir,
I appeared for CGL 2014 on 19 October.
After checking the answer keys from paramount and other few named institute i found my score near about 89-90 marks.
can anyone tell me what is the expected cut off for CGL 2014. Me in General Category. Could i make it to qualify or behind the mark as usual.
Mrunal Sir thanx lot for sharing question paper.
Dude, don’t rely on CL and other insitute answers. There are atleast 15 questions wrongly answered in their Answer Keys..most of them belonging to English and GK sections. SSC will release its official asnwer key, hopefully by 1st week of Nov..that would be the accurate validation artifact…so chill ..as of now..tides may turn soon in favour. :)
when will tier1 result be out? November 1st week?

Hi,
This year SSC Exam clashed with Bank PO and CPO exam. Many students left SSC exam because of less chances and tough paper compared to last year. This year cut off will be around 85-90 only. Rest depends on God. You should start preparation for Tier 2. All the very Best.

Do all the Papers of different sets contain the same Questions in a random manner or are they totally differ from each other?Any one, Kindly let me know please!!!!
question papers differs bt 2 r 4 question can be same
Thank u Neha for your reply,I thought all the different sets of Morning session contains same set of questions but are arranged randomly so that no two papers resemble the same Question number of the Same Question.Evening sets also follow the Same procedure & the complete Question set vary from morning Session. Do u mean all the provided 12 sets of Question Papers are completely different? or only the sets of morning & Evening Sessions Vary?Kindly Spare some time for bringing clarity.
reddy: 6+2 – 4 =4; 9+7 -3 =13…….9+8 -7 =10!
