- My economy lectures for UPSC-2015 batch have started at SPIPA, Ahmedabad (run by Government of Gujarat.)
- I’ve requested them to record all of my lectures for this batch, so it can benefit aspirants at other places, through youtube.
- Although unlike Salman khan neither they nor I can make any “commitments” because of the technical glitches in a typical sarkari IT-setup.
- Anyways, First lecture was done on 16th January 2015, and uploaded. Total ~2:00 hours but I’ve split it into four parts. Click me to watch them
- PowerPoint of the lecture, available at files.secureserver.net/0fxNJqSZOKiE4I
- Medium of instruction- Hindi.
- English version not possible for the moment, because I’m required to teach at this batch, in Hindi/Gujarati only. Besides, same content is available in English-text articles and English PPTs on the site.

great sirji…thanks
you’re like god for all the IAS aspirants who can’t afford those pricey and useless coaching…THANK YOU!!!
sir wont you be providing with the lecture transcripts..??
Mrunal sir, why are you doing this?
you can make lot of money by charging minimal fee also for your online material?
How you do things selflessly?
Please Answer Sir, if you have time….
by God’s grace , I make sufficient money. Besides, If I started putting price tag on everything then it’ll defeat the original purpose of this site i.e. helping aspirants from small towns and villages. Many of them don’t get money easily from parents to buy this thing and that thing every month for civil service preparation, especially the female-aspirants.
thank you sir, Really.
Very rightly said, we do not get money from family to buy 8 rs.hindu daily, or subscribe CSR.
Have to toil through basic internet plan(BSNL speed) to cover big news in depth.
Thank u sir ,
What is the meaning of “Domestic Content Requirements” Please explain.
Under Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission , 2010 , there was execution of Phase I , under 2 batches, where Batch -1 made it compulsory to use indian Solar modules and later Batch -2 , to use Indian solar cell ONLY.
This is what is Domestic Content requirement is, to use domestic goods compulsorily.
This is inconsistent with WTO conditions that prohibits any special favour to domestic market against imports. So, USA is raising its voice against this, cz india is 2nd largets market for solar goods and jobs of over 10K people in USA depend on solar projects.
This is critical for india, under MAKE-in-INDIA initiative to concentrate on domestic manufacturing especially in case of solar projects, where we have planned to raise 100 GW power out of untapped solar potential by 2022(3rd phase of JNNSM which was earlier decided just to 20 GW).It is also important because, China is now leading this market with very cheap products available ,thus catering to large global needs and has recently emerged as largest exporter of them.Solar power is rising in trend all across globe with manifolds within a decade. It is likely to satisfy 30% world energy need soon. Thus countries will be requiring solar products, and India needs to grab the market ASAP. :P
