Prologue
- In 2014, Mr. V.P.Gautham scored 3rd rank in Indian Forest service and 138th Rank in Civil Service exam.
- At present, he is undergoing training as an IAS probationer and allotted to Andhra Pradesh cadre.
- Mr.Gautham had prepared extensive notes on Geography optional subject spanning over 800 pages in 6 separate notebooks with personal mentoring from Shankar Sir of the ShankarIAS Institute, Chennai. He wishes to share these notes for the benefit of future aspirants.

Hey Abhishek.Just go through chaptrs 1-4.You dont have to go in depth.Just understand the processes involved eg Earthquakes etc.The Chapter on Maps can be handy for answering similar questions in prelims. By the way,all the chapters given can be useful for GS 1.Notes are awesome as he has given it in a simple yet effective manner,revision friendly too.
You mean Ecology & soil profile+ Environmental behaviourism, humanism is irrelevant for GS1? Are you sure??
