UPSC has uploaded result for CSAT-2014 preliminary exam. 15,008 candidates qualified for the mains exam. Here are the links to download the PDF file containing roll numbers of the successful candidates
Before declaring final result of CSE-2014, UPSC had officially announced the date and time of result declaration. Same way, here too, in the afternoon of Oct-12-2015, UPSC official website mentioned that result will be out at 9PM.

The results of Roll Numbers 0882295, 1000001, 1000002, 1000003, 1000004, 1000005, 1000006, 1000007, 1000008, 1000009, 1000010, 1000011, 1000012, 1000013, 1000014, 1000015, 1000017, 1000018, 1000019, 1000020, 1000021, 1000022, 1000023, 1000024, 1000025, 1000026, 1000027, 1000028 and 1000029 have been withheld on the directions of Hon’ble Central Administrative Tribunals/High Court.

Do we need to send CAPF DAF to BSF as well as UPSC authorities ?? I recieved two separate mails asking me to send DAF copy to BSF and UPSC authorities along with relevant docs.

u have to submit ur daf at the time of pet i called bsf authority they told me this u don’t have to send it to either upsc or bsf if u wish u can call bsf u will get the same reply so all the best bro
No..you need to take print out of DAF. form..pinned xeroex of your certificate during your PET. the authiroties take them and send to upsc if you cleared pet. then.
ALL D BEST FOR mains. this time also i disqualified in csat paper 2. paper 1 was easy & i got around 132 marks in differnt keys. paper 2 i had only around 65 -67. this was my last attempt. past 5 years i played wd csat not able to get even 70 all times. i dont get benefit of making minimum qualified paper. my dream was shatterd. thinking to join any school as a teacher.
Hey..u have gained lot in these 5 years of preparation and there are lot of other things that u can do, Teaching is one of them. You can do anything that u love to do and that can be any thing(any weird thing also)

what tips can i give? i’m from remote rural area had studied in govt school& colleges, our degree college not even had a small library. without any guidence I took 7 attempts , now i;m 27, cleared ugc net in political science. always reading g.s thats why i got good marks. i studied in kannada medium, poor in english & math. i was able to attempt only around 36 questions in 2 hours so i failed each time. i advice you without any preperation dont give attempts like me. i read my degree books history pol.sc economics geography.

This is the disadvantage that most of the non-hindi belt candidates like us have. Paper-2 passages in English or Hindi would always appear difficult because none of them is your 1st language. Hindi guys are lucky in that sense. I also couldn’t clear paper-2 as I started with the comprehension passages which took me more than an hour to finish. For the remaining, I panicked and in my search for attending easy questions, I missed some easy ones- (usha/kamala question, cardboard piece puzzle etc). Altogether, I attempted 49 but many wrong because of panicking. So for the next time, I have decided to start searching for the easy questions from the very beginning and finishing them before turning to passages.
If UPSC gives a grace chance next year for this year’s last attempt people, I would suggest you try some strategy like this which increases the no of questions you have attended with quality.
Mrunal sir, last year while filling daf for mains I had no idea how to rank the services … Because I didnt know what happens in at least half of them. I am writing mains again this year. There are varying views on postal , ordance, defence estates etc. Can you please do an article giving us a brief idea about each of them.

you just look ncert books of class 8th to 10th standard.It will be enough for prelims.
Questions are directly coming from NCERT only…….just remember 1 thing – U need to toil it at least 5 to 6 times before the exams
Does anyone know what is this call drops TRAI is trying to minimize? Why do call drops happen? Please help.
the crux is just 2 points: (1) shortage of towers in india approx 1 lakh, (ii) Less spectrum available with mobile comapnies in india because india has lot of telecom players around 10 and also population density is high
the mobile companies are also not gaining anything because 95% customers are on a second plan and hence its a loss loss for both infact all 3, customers telecom co ans govt india

@shwetha, ur dreams have not been shattered, just write states’ civil services, I m pretty sure u will top in them given u hv such deep knowledge of GS. With a little bit of patience and hard work you will be able to get promoted to all India services in a matter of a decade or so. So do take up a job as a teacher to fill ur time until the next state civils notification comes around:)

Sorry if I am wrong , and now the real point , I hope you are not taking reasoning test of students here .
As you are of 27 years and given 7 attempts even than you are left with 2 more attempts
As it means at least you are not from General category and Upsc nt declared any deduction in relaxation it made n I don’t think that without any prior informatition it will play with lakhes of students future , in retrospective way
Bez more than other categories it will be General category students who will be hit more by such decision .
So do prepare well for next year .

Hi Jaipal..try reading an English newspaper everyday and making a précis/summary of the articles..get it corrected by someone..it really helps..
