Introduction
- SSC CGL 2013 was to be held on 14th and 21st April.
- But 14th April exam was cancelled. Now that exam will be held on 19th May 2013. (Hence it is no longer conflicting with SBI PO exam date.) This is not a rumor. This is given on SSC’s Northern Region website click me
- This article contains analysis based on two papers of SSC CGL 2013, held on 21st April (KP series and PJ series) click me to download those papersets.

- SSC has continue the trend of last year (=less importance to conventional questions from profit-loss, time-speed, mensuration etc.) and more emphasis on geometry (theory), Trigonometry and algebra
- Roughly 2/3rd of the Maths questions are from Geometry, trigonometry, algebra and Data interpretation (DI) only.
- Although SSC chief remained kept his twitter promise: trigonometry and geometry portion bit easier than last time’s and most of the trigonometry questions could be solved effortlessly by the [Trigonometry] tricks explained on www.Mrunal.org/aptitude
- Usually DI portion contained only one “case” and 5 questions. This time SSC has given multiple DI cases.

- Compared to earlier years, SSC increased the number of non-verbal questions.
- Sitting arrangement (case containing 3-5 question) =absent.
- Otherwise question pattern/difficulty level similar to previous years.
General Awareness / GA-GK
- As usual, GA section was broadly made up of three parts: Static, Science and Crap.
- The message / lesson is clear: when it comes to the GA portion of SSC, don’t waste time chasing trivial current affairs. Because static (polity, history etc.) and science, is where your focus should be.

then find:- sin (theta)+cos (theta) is?
options are:
a–> 3/[sqrt(5)]
b–> sqrt(5)

we have
secA + tanA = root5 + 2 ————– (1)
multiply both sides by secA – tanA, we get
sec^2A – tan^2A = (root5 + 2)*(secA-tanA)
LHS = 1
we get (secA-tanA) = 1/(root5 + 2)
multiply and divide RHS by root5 – 2 (conjugate)
(secA-tanA) = root5 – 2 ——————– (2)
from 1 & 2 we get
secA = root5 and tanA = 2 so sinA = 2/root5 and cosA = 1/ root5 so sinA + cosA = 3/root5 option A.

I have got selected in CSS last year…Me getting above 140 …is there a chance of paper getting cancelled due to the SSC CGL paper leak as reported in news ??

Yes I found this year’s paper w as comparatively easier…I did goof up in time management…I think this this year’s highest marks would be higher than last year’s 151.

Sadly No….taking it this year too… Central Secretariat was taken for IAS prep as it has govt office work and posting only in delhi…This year taking it as a backup …just in case :)

my exam was on 21 april,2013 at muzaffarpur wpte college in second shift
due to mismanagement in one room students get violated and drain out everybody exam within few minutes in every room.after that they also thrash out first sitting candidates paper.dm&principal assured us of re-taking of exam.they also fax the letter to ssc allahabad.
from your point of view what could be the result.pls reply as early as possible or from anyother source,waiting of your reply

i have made call and email more time to rd(ssc), but no one recieve call and replird email. there is no any legel notice cancellation of exam and taking re-exam.dplicate admit card of exam of 19 may is available on the website. our admit card is not in this.

Thank you for your guidance throughout every examination. As there is a news of SSC CGL (21st april) being leaked, is there any chance of the exam getting cancelled? It wud be very unfair if they do so, future of many people is at stake.

i scored around 110 plus too. if the paper is leaked and some people got an undue advantage of it then the exam has to be cancelled bcoz i can score 110 again n u can also score much more . Dont say its not fair to reschedule unless u got the leaked paper n u took advantage of it. i am not accusing u but i am only saying its fair to every1 if they reschedule the exam.
@kri, m saying its unfair coz the people who are pushing for the re-examination are MOSTLY those who didnt fare well and they are moreover expecting a high cutoff this time. Moreover the ssc chief has tweeted that such isolated cases do not lead to cancellation of the exam. Rest, let the commission decide :) All the best for tier-2 if the exam doesnt get cancelled..

for maths mrunal + fast track airthmatic objective by rajesh verma + do max practice as you can n one thng wat i peronally feel tht jst try to solve some set of previous question paper on regular basis so tht u knew wat u r lacking n in whch area u need more practice…also feel ease durin exam by practicing sets at home…..

1 degree has 60 minutes and 1 minute has 60 seconds..
its a matter of convenience as 2*Pi is an arc length covered by circle of unit radius in 360 degrees.
radian is SI unit..
like 45 degrees = 45 *pi/180 = pi/4 radians
pi/10 radians = pi* 180/pi = 18 degrees..
18.75 degrees = 18 deg + .75 deg = 18 deg + .75*60 min = 18 deg 45 mins..
Q. Calculate radian measure of angle measuring 27 degrees 15 mins 45 seconds..
