According to Vajiram’s keys, I am getting 70 around in GS and 130 around in CSAT.. I don’t know how i fucked up comprehension… Worth even waiting for results or start for 2015?? I gave paper with a fractured shoulder plus not full dedication.. And i have SSC CGL mains too on 21st spetember.. May be I should grab a class – II job and then try for class- I.. Whatever I could have prepared in 2 weeks, I did.. and I am hell lost and truly fucked up

At times, it becomes diffult to do so… I got 164 marks in CSAT last year, without any prep as such.. This time straight fall, down to ground and buried.. May be its time to kiss goodbye to UPSC.. May be my preparation wasn’t enough..

paper 1 and paper 2 were a bit difficult compared to last year. this year 20000 odd ( 15000 odd last year ) candidates will be allowed to take the mains. so don’t waste time and start studying for mains. mind you your effort ( preparing for mains ) wont go waste even if you fail the prelims.
Any idea what the cut-off will be this time? What is the estimate from Vajiram-Ravi or from Sriram’s IAS?
There are some doubtful answer (wrong) provided by CL. One, the places related with the life(not time) of Buddha? Ans: “Avanti lay outside the areas, visited by Buddha and converted into his teachings by his disciple Mahakacchayan” ( The historical Buddha: The time life and Teaching by Hanson Wolfgang Schumacher and also in K C Srivastva’s book).
Two: Crab(king crab), spider and scorpion come under Kingdom Arthropods, subphylum -Chelicerata. Though mites are also arthropods but fall inside different subphylum, have antenna and hexapod (NCERT class 11). Any objection or reservation? Please respond!!!
question asked was,which kingdoms were associated with lord buddha’s life. So it is not necessary if he visit that place or not,but he that place should have association with his life and Avanti did have association.

Guys I want to share my experience of Civil Services Exam.
I gave it for the first time.
I gave it just b’coz I wanted to experience the intensity around such exam.
I believe one can easily crack this exam, if one does not get too much pressurized by this exam during his/her preparation.
I thinks the preparation should be on going from the time you decide you want to get into Administrative Services. I mean today every student during his/her school days knows what she/he want’s to become. Only thing is to stay clam and always keep mind open and in analytical mode. I realized most of the questions from Paper-I also can be solved by using some common sense and intuition. I think this exam requires one to accumulate too much of general knowledge. Which is not bad at all if you see from long term perspective. Now have you ever though what will happen to this widely accumulated knowledge by you. It will go purely waste if you do not use it wisely. So one strategy is to keep learning some things (facts, finding, economy, politics, environment, etc, etc,,,blah blah) and back in you brain create a graph of all those knowledge. Try to relate 2 to 3 concepts and things which you have learned and see what can to conclude from that. Take a point or things from politics and try to use it in economy and vice-versa. Do this for other subjects also. See if you can find some relation or are able to come up with something totally new concept from the existing concepts which you have learned. This way you will develop a habit of “Questioning” and once you are in this mode then, not only you will enjoy the exam preparation but also help yourself in becoming knowledgeable entity. “IAS babu banne mein majaa nahi hai, Majaa to IAS exam ki preparation karne mein hai.” You can ask this to any IAS officer. Believe me. If you truly follow this then you will define your path to success. This is all what i think. Note:””OF COURSE, ITS UPTO YOU TO DECIDE WHAT IS RIGHT FOR YOU””.

i came to this blog after upsc pre exam and mentioned me by a friend ………….its good and interesting to see various kinds of personalities by reading comments section and every one is hungry for UPSC its good but its same like they can do anything to get it except handwork (and read some basic books and limited matter and news papers mentioned by mrunal and some toppers blog ). i even think mrunal website also helped those and given them pakka pakaya matter ………..they don’t read eco survey they read mrunal because they don’t have time because they have to do various other things like in market demand (ice bucket and nehaji time table srry neha this is silly but it motivate them only for some time may be for 1 day or 5 day…… no more help………they will be their own )
i think for those that plzz analyze yourself and make your own time table and study basic matters available and after that read various notes provided by various persons like mrunal. or they can help in revision.
after upsc pre exam and given environment porsion by upsc (because all world is not showing awareness …….so upsc ) ………….everyone who is shocked by this is only those who don’t follows basics and followed only pakka pakkaya matter or can say jo market men bik rha h.
in end i want to say that neha send them your prep notes and strategy because we always say that india k log nhi change hone wale kitna hi smza lo …………plzz make your own way .

Hello guyz m from IIM lucknow….nd here most of us are getting around 260 to 280…as 130 +150 ….I beleive all sincere students have scored above 250 this time too…as most of the colleagues also reported d same…..I feel d cutoff will be above 240 as most of the seniors of mine have left their job and scored well with 250 plus…with respect to general category…..most of us are getting in hopefully….I heard aome other guyz from IIM ahemadabad too concurring with my analysis…so plz start preparing for mains..best of luck..

Tried looking at different keys for Paper 1 and 2, Theirs lots of ambiguity in paper 2 especially and few questions in paper 1. After looking into all the key’s i am getting around 230 (90+140) being highest and 205(85+120) being my lowest. Frankly speaking i never thought i would be grueling for cut offs,my paper 2 performance was among my worst. I have RBI, SSC paper 2 and few other banking exams lined up. A bit confused now. I would be extremely great full if anyone can provide me with some valuable suggestions. I am ready to leave all other exams if i have a ray of hope. Thanks in advance.

2 things : 1) just because the name is doesnt mean its a girl so u can add one more email id to chat … 2) everyone has thier own schedules / capacity to study / retention power / etc . so the quest to get an ” ideal plan for UPSC ” is entirely futile … and i have not mentioned the fac that Mr. Mrunal will actually approve this or not
Acc to VajiRam key:
Paper 1: 94.67
Paper 2: 151.67
Total : 246.34
But VajiRam paper 1 key has a few mistakes like the mite question….So expecting around 238…..Hoping to make it to Mains.
Vajiram keys also has mistakes in CSAT answers as well. They have also done mistake in GS keys.
