New development: You can’t change Optional-Subject, exam-Centre,, Indian Language paper (Paper-A) and Answer Medium. You’ll have to stick to whatever you choices made in the prelims application form. (Ref: Instruction PDF file, page no. 3.)
- Last date is 11th November. MAKE NO HASTE in filling this form. Thoroughly read the PDF files uploaded on that page.
- Questions-queries post in comments. I request senior players to help others filling up the DAF-form.
- PS: You can read medical standards in the Gazette PDF file, page no. 213 Appendix III.
in DAF he asks for previous attepmts at civil services year and roll no. …just below there is another ques. “whether you have been selected or applied for upsc recruitment..so is this also to be filled if i have appeared for prelims last year but not selected…please ans my friends

hey friends… how to dispatch the mains application form either by registered post or ordinary post ?
i hv registered for DAL filling up but not received any password mail on my mail ID. rather recvd d mesg tht ur ID is sent on your mail. The mail ID was correct but didnt receive the password hence cant go ahead.
hv left a mail at web-upsc@nic.in but still no response on mail or on telephone.
if tried to register again, the mesg is coming as “you r already register”…
pl help to solve d prob.
If you have sent the mail, they should ideally do it. If they still have not, call on (011) 23098591 extn : 4119 directly.

It is not required as per instructions, since he has not asked its better you don’t append any sign on photo.

Just to confirm, we DON’T have to sign the summary page/s, right? coz instructions also mention that all the pages of the form must be signed and there is a place for candidiate’s signature on summary sheet as well. so i am confused. Please help!

instructions mention in bold not to sign summary sheet, so don’t sign, see point no. 23, in DAF he has asked to refer to instruction so instructions prevail.

If you feel that you have made a mistake, then you can send the necessary changes by post to UPSC with a representation which highlights your concern. Suppose you have made mistake in entering the marks or you have not submitted a certificate or any such matter. If it a genuine query they will certainly make changes, however they dont entertain changes related to service preference and cader related things.
To be on a safer side also Email them your query. All these documents should be preserved and kept as proof if at all time comes when you need them.

while filling up the daf for upsc mains,in the college list there are lots of nit’s. how to recognize one from the other ?
No worries.. You just need to send 10th certificate for age and graduation certificate (if applicable) ..

I have a question. I have my name printed as Pravin in my 10th mark-sheet(DOB proof) and Praveen in my graduation. I also have an affidavit saying both are my name. Will it suffice ? Any other doc accepted as DOB proof like Passport etc. ?
Hello. My name was Divya during my tenth. and the same is printed on my tenth certificate. Now recently i changed my name to Sailakshmi and published in gazatte. But since in prelims application it was mentioned NAME AS PER THE TENTH STANDARD. i gave Divya

Signed the summary sheet also as the space with heading was appearing there also like other pages. No idea why the same has been asked to not sign when space with designation for the same is appearing. Lets hope everything remains good.

I went to the UPSC premise and asked the person who had collected the DAF earlier, if it would be a problem. He said, there won’t be a problem.

In the instructions on page 2:::::::::::::Candidates are required to submit alongwith their applications only copies of certificates
mentioned in Paragraphs 18 and 19 above, attested by a Gazetted Officer of the Government or
certified by candidates themselves as correct. Candidates qualified for interview for the
Personality Test on the results of the written part of the Main Examination will be required
to submit the originals of the certificates mentioned above. Failure to submit the required
certificates in original at that time will entail cancellation of candidature.
When we do a preview after that there is a column- Amount of CRF stamp pasted.what is to be filled in that for female candidates? zero? or is it to be left blank?

today morning I have submitted the form(DAF) at 10.35 am on 10-11-2014. Website is showing congratulation you have submitted all the modules successfully.
But I got a mail from UPSC at around 6.pm today(10-11-2014) that as per their record as on 10-11-2104 at around 11.15 hrs. you have not submitted the form.
what should I do??
In the personal Info module , in PH it is showing “NO” but below that field it is showing “PH Category- Multiple Disability” & below that “PH percentage – Less that 40%”, is this problem unique to me or it is with everyone.
