New development: You can’t change Optional-Subject, exam-Centre,, Indian Language paper (Paper-A) and Answer Medium. You’ll have to stick to whatever you choices made in the prelims application form. (Ref: Instruction PDF file, page no. 3.)
- Last date is 11th November. MAKE NO HASTE in filling this form. Thoroughly read the PDF files uploaded on that page.
- Questions-queries post in comments. I request senior players to help others filling up the DAF-form.

I have a doubt regarding the class/division/grade column in the educational qualifications section. I studied in the ICSE board and they don’t offer any divisions (explicitly mentioned on the certificate). My college doesn’t anything specify either. Should I say N/A or something?

Check the reverse of 10th , 12th result marksheet. They have clearly mentioned the criteria for “Grade/Class”

In employment section, do we need to provide the details of our private employment (i work in IT company), from which i have not resigned, or we don’t need to mention the same.
Also there is a question that ‘Have you ever participated in any UPSC recruitment or exam’. Apart from UPSC CS, i have not written any other UPSC exam. Do we need to mention ‘Yes’, because CSE is handled separately for which we have questions like ‘which attempt’So what should be the answer for this?

Mention employment. It’ll not have any negative effect, Moreover it’ll be helpful to prepare for Interview as some questions would be related to it instead of all falling from the sky..

Hi. I’m facing problem in Employment Information section.
I have filled my employment information.
At the end I’m submitting “Save and Continue”
But it is showing “Save and Add” employment information otherwise you will lose your data.
I did fill and clicked “Save and Add”
But same warning message is coming.
It is not moving forward.
In the final submission section it is showing please complete employment information section.
Have you not faced this problem??? Did it work correctly for you?

MY father is retd bank officer. Upsc has asked about the annual income of father. should i write income after retirement or left it blank

do we need to sign the summary sheet also???…………..instructions say not sign it but there is space given for signature on summary sheet

I have done that intentionally as it was UPSC fault. No worries brother just keep studying.
i was also signed on the s sheet dont worry UPSC very genorous abt these type of mistakes,last year mains i missed to sign on one of the pages gone well
I signed on the summary sheet too, accidentally. Now I am literally freaking out. What’s the worst that can happen? From 1 being – they’ll have a chuckle to
10 being – the entire earth will explode and I’ll be responsible?

Hi all,
While applying during prelims, i have given community=OBC, creamy layer = YES.
But in the mains form ( preview of DAF) it says people who belong to creamy layer should give option as general. However it is not permitting to change the option.
Is anybody else facing the same problem?

In the print out of the DAF, in column 1 regarding payment of fees, do female candidates have to write exempted or just leave the total value as blank?

I am vijayalakshmi , now residing at chennai. I got selected in the UPSC prelims( civil services) exam 2014. When I went to applythe UPSC mains examination , I got the message ” you are already registered”. Hence I have not able to apply the same. My Examination particulars furnished below.

In the instructions form..Rule 6..its given “no column of application form to be left blank”..

My father passed away five years ago. What should I write in “Father’s Profession” ? Should I write about his last held designation and profession or simply put 0 ?
The instruction 14 of the DAF says that the persons in government service have to submit an undertaking regarding informing the head of the department. When is the same to be submitted? Along with the DAF or some time later?
U just have to inform to ur departmental head that u have applied for civil services 2014. You dont neef to submit anything to upsc right now. The declaration that u have informed ur department is in the daf form only on the last page before summary shhet.
