SBI Associate PO Experience Sharing?
- but Problem with these online bank exams= Authorities don’t share the question papers under Right to information act (RTI)
- So, it becomes difficult for the next years’ aspirants to gauge the trend-difficulty level.
Therefore, recently I’ve taken the initiative to get question list from readers.

One of my team mate Ankiit Srivastava is tasked with preparing list of topic wise questionlist for all of above exam. RBI assistant page already finished. Same will be done with remaining RBI, IBPS and SBI exams. Therefore, I request the players: share their experience in comments below, preferably in following format:
Online MCQ paper: 200 marks
- General Awareness
- Subpart Marketing- nature and no. of questions.
- Subpart Computer- nature and no. of questions e.g. security, OS, DBMS, networking etc.
- What was the span of current affairs (3 months, 6 months, 8 months..)
- How much was current affairs vs static theory?
- How much portion from banking and economy questions? Example questions?
- Within banking segment- how much current vs static theory?
- Did they ask anything from economic survey / budget 2014?
- How much focus on [PIN] persons in news, books, authors, awards etc.? Example questions?
- Overall nature- how many trivial GK type (e.g. how many crores allotted in xyz scheme- this type of questions asked in RBI assistant. so did SBI follow that trend?)
- Overall difficulty level and how many questions did you attempt in this section correctly?
- Reasoning (High-level)
- Variety of questions- sitting arrangement/ syllogism / input-out etc?
- Did they ask non-verbal reasoning? (Image based questions) if yes what variety? (Paper folding / mirror images / dice color etc.)
- Overall Difficulty level and how many questions did you attempt in this section correctly?
- Data interpretation
- How many DI sets given? Avg. no of questions per set?
- Difficultly level of DI sets- (A) easy questions but lengthy calculation (B) difficult questions but easy calculation (C) both questions and calculations were difficult.
- Did they ask any basic maths qs. like interest rate, profit-loss, time work etc. or was it entirely based on Data interpretation sets?
- Did they ask permutation combination probability and Venn diagrams?
- Overall Difficulty level and how many questions did you attempt in this section correctly?
- English language
- How many Qs from comprehension? Their length and difficultly level compared to SBI PO / CAT / CSAT/ RBI Officer?
- Did they ask separate questions on vocabulary, phrases, synonym-antonym etc? (or was it part of the comprehension passage e.g. what is the meaning of underlined word in passage)?
- Did they ask sentence arrangement sets like CDS and CAT exam?
- Did they ask sentence correction, if yes how difficult?
- How many grammar questions (active-passive, direct-indirect, do as directed.)
- Overall, Difficulty level and how many questions did you attempt in this section correctly?
Descriptive paper (50 marks)
- Essay: List of topics given, which topic did you select? What was the word limit and marks?
- Comprehension: how long was the passage? many questions and marks? Difficulty level?
- Précis: did they give separate passage for précis? or were you asked to shorten the same passage from comprehension? and how many marks and difficulty?
- Letter writing / report writing: topics and marks.
Overall
- Overall, how many question did you attempt (out of 200 marks)
- If you had appeared in previous SBI associate PO, what’s your observation about length-difficultly level of this year, compared to last year?
- Any other Wisdom and tips for future aspirants.

Is it necessary to write down the question from the screen and then answer ?? Can anyone clarify .. Coz for the letter writing , I mentioned the question number but dint write the question .. Will it be considered ?

can anyone tell me the duration of the exam … & some one said its easier than ibps po … bt is dat their cutoff is alwys high thn ibps …
duration will be 3 hours .. 2 hrs mcq and 1 hr written … even though its easier then ibps but total seats are way less then in ibps po.. thats why cutoffs are higher

a lot of guesswork here. couldn’t clear sbi and rbi. but cleared ibps due to higher vacancies and going by that record this one is doubtful too. today’s the last day i think,let’s wait for the results.
i’ll be damned if i clear this…ibps was a superb fluke…had not read much due to the mains in dec. went out there like david warner and simply a wild shootout….the result and cutoff will be a hell of a lookout for. keeping your fingers crossed was never more apt.

23rd nov evening shift sbi associate po 2014 ,,1.)latest country to join saarc. 2) in ebola terminology MERS means 3.) currency of Bhutan, china , japan 4.) new cabinet ministers
I need your help guys. I have a unique problem. I gave my sbi associates exam today, 23-11-14. I started off with gk/marketing/banking……English…reasoning…DI. And after the time was up the screen showed that I Answered 0….Unanswered 0….marked for review…50(in gk only, other sections were correct). I was shocked to see that. It essentially means that I am getting 0 in gk part. But I remember very clearly that I Clicked on the answer and Marked for review (which gets counted as answered in final analysis). i also remember that it was Violet with a green coloured tick mark on top. I am quite certain that it is not my fault here. Kindly provide me solutions if you have any or how do I contact IBPS (email not mentioned in their contact us page). PLz HLP… THANK YOU
Violet means your answer has been marked for review. But according to the Acquaint Yourself Booklet (pg 8 pt 11) : After selecting an answer for a question the candidate should click on the ‘SAVE & NEXT’ button to save his
answer and proceed to the next question. Note that without clicking on ‘Save & Next’ button the answer
selected for a question will not be saved.
Hi.. I have read on other forums that ppl are getting mails from them saying that due to the same problem, they are calling them again for the exam. it was due to some technical error in their systems. i m not sure when or how (or even whether) will they call you. just keep fingers crossed.

More questions were from marketing and general things are few like
Ministers, currency and country, and 1 or 2 abbreviations like ctss, html
Apart from that banking had unexpected questions like ppf no. of years – 10, 15, 5 or 20 years
And as usual computer was manageable wih easy questions on shortcuts and also few moderate questions on router and other related questions
But i think marketing had more questions and not easy
questions on comsumer process and some other core aspects of marketing
Anyway prepare marketing and manage ur time between the sections and u can do it

I’ve attempted 136 overall.
Qnt : 22 (DI only…All fuddu ques. Never expected that i’d be able to attempt 22 in any exam :)
Res : 34 (Sine m good in this i targeted 50 but somehow got stuck in d qes “10 people seating in 2 row facing north nd south” killed 13 min)
GK : 46 (Overall easy but Marketing may bring down my accuracy)
Eng : 34 (Left both RCs.)
In Descriptive i wrote Letter to a friend and gave all gyan what i had, essay on mutual fund nd paragraph on online shopping. Precise was out of the world, i had no clue what was i writing. Now i feel, instead of wasting time in precise i could hv answered RC where i left two.
Compared to IBPS it was way easier but screwed myself in reasoning. Even IBPS has not disclosed scores this time. I am hanging upside down…

precise and comprehension both were on economic terms and i felt it difficult and i think even raghu ram rajan will be confused to write precise
