i m getting 101, ur category , any chance to tier 2, if yes then how much should i score in tier 2 to be got selected??

Yes you have chances. Cut-off will be 82-90 this year as variation lies here a lot in two sittings. Start Solving Maths and English on daily basis.

hey thanks Shatakshee…..for supporting my view….and for Meghnad bro….maths is everything in Cgl exam whether it is tier-1 or 2….i know that we can get through in gk,english and reasoning…bt what is disheartening to me is Maths for which preparation i gave my whole time…bt in the end what i got on 19th Oct???? only tears in my eyes…bt on 26th Oct..maths was a hot cup cake..ready to put in your mouth..so as a fellow-competitor u can understand my objection to SSC INJUSTICE..

i belong to jat category Haryana..at the time of filling form I applied with general category..bt in the mean time jats were put into obc category..so if I intimate the commission now will they shift me to obc category….plzz reply
I also took the exam on 19 October(Morning shift). There is a difference in difficulty level of papers conducted on 19 Oct and 26 Oct.
I have submitted my grievance to this effect with the SSC. There is one document available on SSC site in Candidate corner under the “Special Instructions to Candidates”. Read it.
I request to all who are the victims of this discrimination to submit their grievance to SSC.

My grievance text-
“This is in reference to the SSC-CGL 2014 examination which was conducted on 19 and 26 oct.
There was a huge disparity in the difficulty level of the question papers of 19 oct morning session compared to 19 oct evening session and 26 oct both morning and evening sessions. This amounts to gross injustice to the candidates who appeared in 19 october morning session.
It is thus requested to you to take necessary action regarding this issue which may be scaling,normalization of marks or simply treating the tier-1 exam as the screening exam and not counting its marks in overall merit list.
It concerns the future of students who have invested time and effort for preparation of this exam and such injustice is not what they deserve. All the students will be highly obliged if you take into consideration the mentioned issue and do something needful.”
i spotted some very obvious error in key of 26th October, 2014 Tier 1 paper. How do i notify the ssc of it?

Yes Ashish I completely agree with you i was also a victim of 19th oct morning paper. I solved all other session papers later and found 19th morning paper to be of high standard compared to others. The questions of maths section were of higher difficulty level and lengthy compared to the usual SSC type questions. GK was seriously difficult. There should be normalization done to give a level playing filed to all the candidates.

My name in the admit card was printed as ‘mohan sharma’ but in the photo id proof it is ‘mohan kumar sharma.’
Is it a thing to worry over??

Your name, Dob, fathers name in application/admit card should be as in 10th certificate for any Govt job. You have to meet regional ssc office. Don postpone or you may regret. No govt servant will take risk for you.

I believe for 2013 tier 1,2 must also be evaluated on the same method of nomalization, my shift exam was much difficult than that of morning, GK was sternly harder and completely unjustified and same happened to me in tier 2. THIS NORMALIZATION method must also be for SSC 2013. Please write the grievances and send ’em to the authorities.

Hi, my score in cgle tier1 2014 is 120.obc. my preferences were iti, excise and css. But recently I came to know that I have low vision in one eye(6/60).I may come under visually challenged.if I get selected for iti or excise I may get rejected.in that case I may not get any other job. Can I change my 1st preference to css later?

As per my limited understanding the answer should be (c) but according to the key it is (d)

I guess the correct sentence should be ‘It is me who is responsible for the delay’ and therefore answer should be (a) but the key gives (b) as the correct answer

That was a very serious goof up on my part as far as that reasoning question is concerned..God knows what was i thinking in the exam hall and marked (c).
Your answer is absolutely right aanya as ‘i’ is the subject here and ‘is’ is never used with ‘i’ ..Another specimen of my recklessness..Only the Almighty knows when will it cease :P
