United Insurance Administrative Officer exam is to be held on 28th or 29th December 2014. They had decided to conduct direct “Mains” exam. I hereby request the players to share their online exam experience / trend analysis, for the benefit of future aspirants.

- Financial sector questions: number, nature, difficultly level? Concepts asked or trivial GK-dates-names-numbers asked?

Quantitative Aptitude (50 Questions)
- Variety of questions- did they ask interest rate, profit-loss, time work etc. or was it entirely based on Data interpretation sets?
- How lengthy was the data interpretation (DI) set?

- How many Qs from comprehension? Their length and difficultly level compared to SBI PO / CAT / CSAT?

Job bond system applies in United India AO
- In case any candidate is still unaware: United India insurance AO job requires you to sign a bond for four years, otherwise damages equivalent to 1 year’s salary, will have to be paid.
- + If you resign within probation period, you’ll have to pay additional 25,000 rupees as damages.

No there is no descriptive test
No Sir,there is no descriptive test for New India Insurance AO exam,and one more notable thing is, the negative mark was changed as 1/4 (0.25 mark) instead of 1/3 (0.33) which was mentioned earlier in advt. Refer handout to avoid any confusion.

Hello Mrunal Sir i am an ardent follower of you website, keep up the good work. Recently i gave my first united insurance AO exam.
GA SECTION(easier for those who study and difficult for those who donot)
No trival gk and bogus establishment years of financial institutes as well as old government schemes.No qs on budget if the exam is not near budgetary announcement,but census 2011 study should be studied. All GA questions were from current whose duration is past 4 months from the date of exam like kvp lock in period, kotak ING merger, books authors in fact there were two qs in my set i.e. the election that change by rajdeep and the scatter is too much by tanveer so all the books authors should be learnt by heart, all countries capital specially those who are in news like canada(terror attack), sweden(recognize palestian), iraq and syria(ISIS),turkey(next g20 summit) one important thing they confuse us by asking capital of republic of a country like what is the capital of republic of Afghanistan or Zimbawa so donot be confuse yourself answer will be Kabul and Harare respectively, curreny of the countries also important but indirect qs such as a european country not having euro as a currency or vice versa. Rest very thing is very deverse ranging from awards, UN day, Aids day , World Tiolet Day etc. if your exam is on dec. then all the important days of oct. nov. dec. and jan. must be mugged up.
My sources of reading GA: mrunal sir PIN monthly everything, Gk Today website daily updates(not Monthly)copy paste then print out read daily , Bankers Adda monthly and exam related capsules should mugged up without any confusion. And last but not the least prepare GA from the date you apply for the exam and not when admit card is in your hand plz most important advice. A firm grip on GA will fetch you around 30 marks out of 40 in around 7-8 mins. with no effort at all boosting your chances.

5 easy syllogs mrunal methods awesome
sitting arrangements but not circular it is turned into a square where person sit midway and in corners but simple not relationship attached with it on arrangement, circular shifted to conslusion based ques like only 1 will fetch the answer or both etc.
1 input output both side shifting specially both moving inwards.
No non verbal ques plz skip only bogus ssc askes them
rest 5 inequalities easier than before not symbols involved only one liners, 1puzzle on floor bulding and 1 on days setting like subject taught on this day like that, 5 conclusion based ques, course of action , assumption, etc.
QA
2 interest , 2 profit loss , 2 distance , 2 time work ques also can be asked in 5 conclusion ques, 1 pie chart di easy on election % turn out number of invalid votes etc. (5qs), 1 bar chart di , 1 line chart di(no. of lig,hig etc. house build over years), quadratic ques 5 in number easy, no p and c ques as well as venn diagram, no probability. Easy if one has pratice to leave bogus ques else moderate.
English
1 comprehension about jan dhan(10 ques in which 6 were ques and 4 vocabs) my advice donot read comprehension just do the 4 chillar vocbs and move on but it will be chillar for those who have mugged up the bible of vocabs word power made easy Norman Lewis at least twice. 1 cloze test of 10 ques can be done easily if one have a habit of reading news paper my fav. Indian Express and Business Standard. 5 error spotting , 5 fill in the blanks, 5 sentence arrangement but it is a gamble like bond movie casio royalee blind game gain all or lose all type. I saved time by skipping comprehension only vocabs and did section in 20 mins. helped me perform better.
Those who are saying that cutoffs will be around 140..either they are very dumb or they are first timers who have never given any competitive exams..in an exam where its very difficult to even attempt 140 questions with accuracy how can the cutoffs can even touch 140..cutoffs can never ever exceed 115-120..I m SBI po selected candidate and quite experienced in online exams..even I have attempted 160 but my marks will never exceed 125 ..attempting is never equal to getting good marks.

In advertisement its written — Cut off Score: Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum total score for short listing for the interview. Depending on the number of vacancies available, cut offs will be decided for short listing.

Descriptive exam will be qualifying only. It was mentioned in the notification itself.

it depends on your priority and personal choice, but ssc cgl posts are better according to me.
