What to prepare for interview?

Some tips (from those comments)
- 60% on your biodata. (Why do you want to join IB? Educational background, terminology, hobbies)
- 30% on current issue (mostly national and regional. + some current related to neighboring countries from IB/security/terrorism angle.)
- 10% intelligence system of India.
- If you are not fluent in English practice it, as sometimes panel member may insist that you answer a particular question in english.
- For some people it was for 5 mins and for some it went upto 20 mins.
- In the panel, one member will be observing you and taking notes.

Documents to bring in interview
- Original certificates in support of age, educational
- qualifications (Matriculation onwards including mark sheets), other qualifications along with an attested photocopy of each of the documents;
- Original certificate in support of belonging to
- OBC/SC/ST/Ex-serviceman/J&K resident category issued from the competent authority in the prescribed proforma along with an attested photocopy thereof;
- Original certificates in support of claimed achievements in Sports/Games and other extracurricular activities along with an attested photocopy of each of the documents.
- A photo identity proof like voter ID card, PAN card, passport, driving license or any other valid proof to verify his/her identity.
- Candidates belonging to OBC category and claiming benefits thereunder must bring their OBC certificate in the proforma meant for appointment to the posts under Government of India as published in the advertisement (copy enclosed) and not for State Government jobs. If they fail to do so, they will not be allowed to appear in the interview. Certificate in any other proforma will not be accepted in any case.
- One copy each of Attestation Forms (A.F.) and Special Security Questionnaire (SSQ) may also be downloaded which are required to be filled in by the candidate for carrying out Character & Antecedents verification wherever required. These forms may please be filled in for all the columns correctly and completely and in case the space provided in any of the column is not sufficient for furnishing the information sought, the candidate can utilize an extra sheet. This is, however, made clear that issuance and filling up of the attestation form (AF) and SSQ at this stage does not mean that the candidate has been or would be necessarily selected to the post of ACIO-II/Exe. The duly filled in AF and SSQ forms are required to be deposited by the candidate on the day of interview.
- The candidate is advised to bring this interview letter without which he/she would not be allowed entry. It may be made clear that no request for change of date and place would be entertained.

Good for you brother. Interestingly I am still being verified(more than 2 weeks now.). I have been contacted by 10 different people from either IB or state CID.
1) IB@ present address .

6)IB@ elder brothers last address in India.(extensive verification, they went to his flat, company headquarter, checked his employment records, met with his friends and ex roommates).
7)IB@ 10th boards exam(residential school).
8)IB@ 12th boards exam school(residential school).
9)IB@ Graduation college.
10)IB@ birth place and the also checked my fathers employment records before his retirement).
It seems too much, no wonder the whole process recruitment takes almost 2 years. Unfortunately for me all of the above places are in different districts and parts of the country. I wonder If its same for everyone else or is it just me. Please share your verification processes. Cheers!
Hi Rambler, I stay near chennai…. as per what you have said, verification was done by the IB person and by the state police(crime branch CID)..over a period of 2weeks…am the only child to my parents, but my cousin bro (son of dad’s elder brother) is in the US… they asked his present & permanent address.. his company address.. passport number, visa validity & expiry date… verified at our permanent address.. present address.. at my PG where i stay while i worked… at my dad’s workplace…at my native place, school, college etc…
Dude, it’s a sensitive post as one deals with the internal security of the country. Therefore these checks are mandatory. I have been contacted too by different state policemen (as in employment,stay,tenure etc) document wise, on phone and quizzed/confirmed the SSQ details many times since 1st week of June. Anyways, good luck!

I also talked to one of the officers who came to verify me for almost an hour. I asked him a lot of questions about the job profile, training etc. I will b putting up a detailed post shortly.

See am telling you that am done with verification because – They contacted my father, my sister, my brother and am not sure about school or college.But what the person (they were two) who came to my residence told me when I asked about my joining is that, as soon as they send the SSQ which they had and our handfilled , reaches the headquarters there ends the verification.
Rambler what I feel is that if they’ve checked your documents and got your answers of their questions, then you’re done.Hoping to see you there in the same batch along with sherlock amit and bond if he believes in what I say :p
One more surprising reply that I got from that ib fellow when I asked him for number of candidates from ranchi, he was like see if we get 20 candidates we reject 12 but you’re safe,aapke acche din aane waale hai.
Tried to scare me by asking me to come to police station and be honest about my criminal record lol

Brother sanjay there’s nothing to worry about. You.shall your joining and so shall we.I hope you get it soon and your family would be as comfortable as you yourself.
I don’t know and I really doubt him on that.He may have said that to scare me or to get honest answers.He asked me who attested my documents and when I asked him to show he didn’t allow.He thought my father attested the documents as he’s of the same designation and wanted to catch me there, and hence that reply.
Bhai the official i had chat on phone (June end) told me that first batch is to begin from second week of July and we shall be prepared for the next batch.
Police verification shall be done by them, by looking for my criminal record at the police station itself. That’s what he told me.

the procedure of police verification started after Ib done its homework/verification and local police will contact everyone you mentioned in SSQ and each location where you stay for last 3 years plus your graduation place is also visited by respective local police
Have you guys been to civil surgeon’s office? Today I just casually went there to get an idea of medical fitness certificate.The clerk there asked me to present joining letter. So I guess no need to worry about medical tests and certificate at this stage.

@Balram – yes bro, 2 officers from state police i.e from Crime Branch visited & took photocopies with them of address proof & certificates for their own formalities.. they were saying the IB guys would prepare, send separate report to their higher ups and the state guys too would prepare a report & send it, both independent of one another… only after the reports are sent by them, the verification is deemed to be completed… am quoting verbatim as to what they said…

hi friends! i got some info about training in shivpuri and wanna share with u friends.
Day goes in shivpuri as follows:
1.Morning-6am to 8am (Running,physical exercise,drill etc.,)
2.8am to 9.30am( fresh up, tiffin etc.,)
3.6.30am to 1.00pm( oral classes/subject classes)
4.1.00pm to 2.30pm( Lunch break and nap)
5.2.30pm to 5.00pm(oral classes)
6.5.00pm to 7.00pm(physical exercise, drill)
After 7pm freshup, dinner, some homework, then sleep.

Hiii guyz….got sme info…so thought to share it wid u all….candidates who has studied from DELHI UNIVERSITY either by regular…or correspondence, their verification is nt completed till nw…as DU has nt reverted back to d deptt regarding our degrees.
As per my knowledge all the renound universities have online database about their students. So there is no need fot the dept. to contact univerisity regarding any information.

Yup I spoke with him, he received the call letter on 25th july. His verification was done in mid june.. He collected his call letter from SIB office bangalore..

I got my call letter 2day :) ! Am into sept22nd batch at S.puri !
Today morning, got a call from IB district incharge to meet him & collect the letter in person at his office, spoke to him.
The call letter has
– instructns, guidelines
– info as gvn by ‘Sruzan’ previously
– surety bond fr rs.60,000 to be signd
– med cert addrssd to d civil surgeon of dist govt hospital whr v r supposed 2 get med exam
– personal details & declaratn form
– character certificate
The officer said withn 1week of traing compltn at s.puri hav to report 2 delhi for further traing.. And then 1mth at sikkim – mountaineering course.

Use Firefox- goto setting- Add Ons- search Youtube to Audio or Youtube to mp3 or mp4- install- restart firfox- open youtube- you will see a button below video- download- thatsit. This trick is simple ad one time work.
Method 2:
Copy each video url individually and paste it in ” http://convert2mp3.net ” and choose format and download.. this trick is hectic. do the first one.
If you are using an android phone then you can use TubeMate app. This is not available on Google Play Store but you will have to search it on google. Just install it on your mobile and download the video/audio.
