Background
After the change of civil service (Mains) exam syllabus in 2013, UPSC aspirants had been demanding additional age/attempt limit. Large scale protests organized during December session of parliament..
So far, UPSC and Personnel ministry had shown an indifference to these demands (as per the Minister’s reply in Rajya Sabha and RTIs to UPSC and Personnel Ministry.)
But now, Personnel Ministry’s official site has uploaded a new PDF notification:

It reads:
Subject: Civil Service Examination- Relaxation of number of attempts
The Central Government has approved “two additional attempts to all categories of candidates w.e.f. Civil Services Examination 2014, with consequential age relaxation of maximum age for all categories of candidates, if required.”

Then upper age limit turns out to be General = 32, OBC = 35, SC/ST=37.

New look is pretty bad with the green strip on the left of page making it difficult to read articles written. Please remove the green frame.
i m getting a popup window of mrunal.org on left pane of web page. it is creating difficulty in reading because it is overlapping the contents of article. By the way when i m typing the comment that popup is being overlapped by this comment box. please fix it

Trully new look of web page is amazing, may be page selection could be more attractive, bt leave it. Jus feeling new sun in my life. But consider the request of webnar, aspirants. Coz for us u r more thn god.

This look is good, changes has to come.. after this change effect may be UPA changed mindset.. they had given 2 more attempts. Sir i am a big admirer of yours work and assistance being provided for our guidance and ardent followe of ur blog as well as site. But we have become so habituated to the old version of this site that getting really hard to read on this new one. Change is the rule of the game but it should be for betterment and not for the sake of change only. Plz revert to previou version. Thnx.

Please revert the changes into old version. it is hazy and uncomfortable to read. With this the tiles of articles on home page is less informative.
CHANGE is the essence of life. This new look is definitely more organized.
Color combination could have been better but still its not the flashy looks of a website that brings all of us to this website, its the pool of knowledge and resources which does!

Theme Troubleshoot
Most of the problems/issues are solved. Just clear the cache/cookies in your browser.
#1: Green bar on left side- can’t read text from article
“green bar” problem is solved. But if text is still not visible then:
In Firefox and Chrome….On your keyboard Press “ctrl+shift+del” key together. A new window pops up. Tick all options in it and press “clear”. (This will clear the redundant css/cache/webpage files and then webpage will be properly displayed.)
#2: font size is ridiculously small
I’ve tested the site on a few machines, working smoothly. but yet if you find problem with font size then
Two causes:
-your browser is outdated.
-your browser’s inbuilt settings are overriding the site’s font size.
Solution are as following:
Chrome
-Goto settings menu,
-New window comes.
-at the bottom, there is small blue link “advanced settings”
-The menu expands. look for a button “Customize fonts”. New window comes,
-There you pick font size as per your requirements.
Firefox
-Tools menu=> Options => new window comes.
-in this new window, click on “content” tab. and play with the settings as per your requirement. (you can even click on “advanced” button to change even more settings)
